    Abstract: Configurations of a user equipment and an apparatus provided in a user equipment, and a method used in a user equipment, receive from a base station, for each bandwidth part of a plurality of bandwidth parts provided in a bandwidth of one carrier, information indicating a frequency location of the bandwidth part and information indicating a subcarrier spacing applied to the corresponding bandwidth part, receive from the base station, information indicating a use condition of a predetermined bandwidth part included in the plurality of bandwidth parts. In response to determining that the use condition is satisfied, the configurations and method use the predetermined bandwidth part.

    Abstract: A base station and method thereof includes transmitting from the base station to a user equipment, parameters for an offload from the cellular RAN to a wireless local area network (LAN). The parameters are used by the user equipment to perform an access network selection between the cellular RAN and the wireless LAN, and include a first threshold for comparison with a cellular signal strength of the cellular RAN, a second threshold for comparison with a wireless LAN signal strength of the wireless LAN, and a third threshold for comparison with a load of the wireless LAN. When performing access network selection, the parameters may cause the user equipment to perform the offload, in response to the cellular signal strength being lower than the first threshold, the wireless LAN signal strength being higher than the second threshold, and the load of the wireless LAN being lower than the third threshold.

    Abstract: A communication control method pertaining to an embodiment of the present invention is for controlling dual connectivity communication which uses a master base station that establishes RRC connection with a user terminal and a secondary base station that provides a supplementary wireless resource to the user terminal. The communication control method comprises: a step in which the master base station receives, from the user terminal, a measurement report which includes measurement results found for each cell in the user terminal; and a step in which the secondary base station receives, from the master base station, a supplementary request for requesting the allocation of resources to the user terminal. In the step for receiving a supplementary request, the master base station includes, in the supplementary request, measurement results for a cell of the secondary base station which is included in the measurement results, and transmits the same.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a transmission antenna that transmits a transmission wave, a reception antenna that receives a reflected wave, which is the reflected transmission wave, a controller that controls a radiation pattern of the transmission wave, a signal processor that detects an object on the basis of a transmission signal transmitted as the transmission wave and a reception signal received as the reflected wave. The controller performs control such that, when the transmission wave is transmitted a plurality of times in certain units, a transmission wave with a varied radiation pattern is included at least once. The signal processor outputs a result of the detection of the object on the basis of a composite cluster, which is superimposed point groups of a plurality of clusters obtained by performing clustering on results of detection performed on the object the plurality of times.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a transmission antenna, a reception antenna, a signal processor, a quality determining unit, and a controller. The transmission antenna transmits a transmission wave. The reception antenna receives a reflected wave that is the transmission wave having been reflected. The signal processor calculates, based on a transmission signal transmitted as the transmission wave and a reception signal received as the reflected wave, a distance between the electronic device and an object that reflects the transmission wave. The quality determining unit determines a quality of the reception signal. The controller performs control for transmitting the transmission wave in an operation mode corresponding to the distance between the electronic device and the object, based on the quality of the reception signal determined by the quality determining unit.
