摘要: Each of first and second multi-plate clutches comprises a clutch outer cylinder portion provided to be coaxial with the input shaft and connected with a first or second rotational element, a clutch inner cylinder portion provided to be coaxial with an input shaft, plural clutch plates provided between these cylinder portions to slide in an axial direction of the input shaft within the clutch outer or inner cylinder portion, and a clutch piston provided to slide in the axial direction and press the clutch plates for connecting the clutch outer cylinder portion with the clutch inner cylinder portion. The clutch outer and inner cylinder portions of each of the first and second multi-plate clutches are provided in the axial direction, and there is provided a support wall portion that is connected with the input shaft and supports the clutch inner cylinder portion of each of the multi-plate clutches.

摘要: The multistage transmission gear mechanism is provided with a first and second coupling means for shifting speed stages, each being of a type operable hydraulically and adapted to allow four speed stages from first to fourth speed stages to be selected in accordance with a combination between a coupled state and an uncoupled state of the first and second coupling means. A third coupling means is further provided for ensuring engine braking.The second coupling means is engaged or coupled by a first pilot pressure generated by a first solenoid at the second, third and fourth speed stages. The first coupling means is coupled by a second pilot pressure generated by a second solenoid at the third and fourth speed stages. The third coupling means is coupled at the second and third speed stages.A third solenoid is provided for generating a third pilot pressure which prevails over the first pilot pressure and controls shifting the second coupling means at the third speed stage.At shifting between the second and third speed stages, the second pilot pressure prevails over the first pilot pressure to being the second coupling means into a state of its shifting being controlled by the third pilot pressure. At this time, shifting the third coupling means is controlled by the first pilot pressure to avoid a temporary engagement of all the three coupling means, thus preventing a transmission shock.

In one example, the automatic transmission comprises a transmission case, a valve body which is arranged in the transmission case, a control valve mechanism which controls oil pressures in parts of the automatic transmission and is installed in the valve body, and a solenoid valve which is attached to the valve body and is arranged at a first side of the valve body and in the transmission case. The automatic transmission further comprises an electronic control unit which controls the solenoid valve, is attached to the valve body, and is arranged at a second side of the valve body that is opposite to the first side across the valve body.

摘要: A hub and a drum are respectively provided inside and outside a forward clutch (multiple-disc clutch) of an automatic transmission for a vehicle. A piston for pushing the forward clutch and a hydraulic servo for controlling the piston are provided inside the hub. A plurality of notched portions are formed in the piston and the hub with the positions thereof displaced from each other in the peripheral direction so that the piston and the hub are overlapped with each other in the axial direction in such a fashion that parts of one of the piston and the hub where no notched portions are formed are inserted into the notched portions of the other.

摘要: A control apparatus for an automatic transmission has a control unit which, when a selector lever is shifted from a forward drive gear range to a reverse gear range when the vehicle speed is not lower than a first predetermined speed, prevents the gear stage from being changed to that corresponding to the reverse gear range until the vehicle speed has fallen to a speed not greater than a second predetermined speed lower than the first predetermined speed. The control unit allows the gear stage to be changed to that corresponding to the reverse gear range if the selector lever is shifted to the reverse gear range when the vehicle speed is lower than the first predetermined speed. This control apparatus, therefore, ensures that the gear stage can be changed to that corresponding to the reverse gear range only when the driver intentionally shifts the selector lever from one of the forward drive gear ranges to the reverse gear range.

摘要: A hydraulic control system of an automatic transmission during a shift operation wherein a control pressure is controlled to selectively engage and release a plurality of frictional elements to establish a desirable shift stage comprising inertia phase detecting device for detecting a starting point of an inertia phase of the shift operation from one shift stage to another, and control pressure reducing device for gradually reducing the control pressure introduced to a frictional element to be engaged after the inertia phase is detected. The torque shock in the shift operation can be effectively reduced.

摘要: In an automatic transmission, a second brake is engaged when the transmission is in second and is released when the transmission is in third and first. The second brake is controlled by a hydraulic actuator. Application of the hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic actuator of the second brake is limited upon upshift from first to second so that the hydraulic pressure is gently applied to the hydraulic actuator. The limitation of application of the hydraulic pressure is nullified upon downshift from third to second.
