    Abstract: A user equipment and method used in a user equipment include receiving from a base station, a message including information indicating a first logical channel associated with one or more first cells, information indicating a second logical channel with one or more second cells, and information associating the first logical channel and the second logical channel with a specific bearer of the user equipment. When transmitting data of the specific bearer, the data it transmitted by using the first logical channel in response to a volume of the data not exceeding a threshold value configured by the base station, and the data is transmitted by using the first logical channel and the second logical channel in response to the volume of the data exceeding the threshold value. A base station transmits the message and configures the threshold.

    Abstract: A user equipment according to a first aspect is a user equipment for a mobile communication system. The user equipment transmits and receives radio signals within a reduced bandwidth narrower than a system transmission and reception band. The user equipment performs radio communication with a base station by using the transceiver. The base station provides MBMS services via SC-PTM. The user equipment receives first information from the base station. The first information indicates at least one of: a maximum number of repetitions of a physical downlink control channel having a bandwidth equal to or less than the reduced bandwidth and a maximum number of repetitions of a physical downlink shared channel having a bandwidth equal to or less than the reduced bandwidth. The first information is transmitted from the base station by a system information block for the SC-PTM or a multicast control channel for the SC-PTM.

    Abstract: A mobile wireless communication device notifies communication infrastructure that the mobile wireless communication device is traveling at a speed greater than a threshold speed.     Abstract: A base station receives a bitrate query from a first user equipment (UE) device being served by the base station. The bitrate query can be a request for a bitrate increase or decrease. The base station transmits a bitrate recommendation to the first UE device. The bitrate recommendation is to be used for a Voice over Long-Term Evolution (VoLTE) call between the first UE device and a second UE device. In some instances, the first UE device and the second UE device negotiate the bitrate to be used for the VoLTE call, based on the bitrate recommended by the base station. The first and second UE devices implement a bitrate for the VoLTE call and provide feedback to the base station.

    Abstract: A radio terminal (controller) executes one of a first control, a second control, and a third control, based on at least one of a reception level of a radio signal from a predetermined cell and a transmission level of the radio terminal. In the first control, the radio terminal directly transmits uplink information to be transmitted to a predetermined cell to the predetermined cell, and directly receives downlink information to be received by the radio terminal from the predetermined cell. In the second control, the radio terminal transmits the uplink information to the predetermined cell via a relay terminal configured to execute a relay using a proximity-based service, and directly receives the downlink information from the predetermined cell. In the third control, the radio terminal transmits the uplink information to the predetermined cell via the relay terminal, and receives the downlink information from the predetermined cell via the relay terminal.

    Abstract: A user equipment for a mobile communication system, and method and chip thereof, receives a first parameter and a second parameter broadcasted from the current serving cell, and reselects a target cell to be used as a serving cell from among plural cells operated at different frequencies. The first parameter defines a probability for performing reselection of the target cell, and the second parameter is a timer value to be set in a timer started at a timing at which a quality measurement for neighbor cells ends. Reselecting includes, after receiving the first and second parameter, periodically measuring qualities of neighbor cells at timer defined timings, comparing a value corresponding to IMSI of the user equipment with a value corresponding to the first parameter, and reselecting the target cell from among cells having a quality satisfying predetermined quality criteria, based on results of the quality measurement and the comparison.

    Abstract: In a communication method, a user equipment receives system information broadcast from a current serving cell of the user equipment and indicating frequencies different from a frequency of the current serving cell, the user equipment receives a paging signal from the current serving cell that is different from the system information and includes a request message requesting the user equipment to perform frequency redistribution in which the user equipment selects a target frequency, and performs the frequency redistribution in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message. Performing the frequency redistribution comprises the user equipment measuring quality of the frequencies included in the system information received from the current serving cell in response to receiving the paging signal including the request message, and selecting the target frequency based on a result of the measuring. The user equipment reselects a serving cell on the selected target frequency.
