Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method for performing a CoMP operation in a wireless communication system and an apparatus for the method. A method for performing an Inter-eNB CoMP (Coordinated Multi-Point) operation in a wireless communication system comprises receiving, by a first eNB, a message requesting initiation of a CoMP operation from a second eNB; transmitting, by the first eNB, to the second eNB a message requesting information about gain expected from a CoMP operation carried out in the second eNB; receiving, by the first eNB, the information about gain expected from the second eNB; coordinating, by the first eNB, resources for a CoMP operation based on the information of expected gain; and transmitting, by the first eNB, the resource coordination result to the second eNB.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting a cell shaping/un-shaping indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A first eNodeB (eNB) transmits a cell shaping/un-shaping indication which indicates cell shaping/un-shaping of a cell, managed by the first eNB, in an active antenna system (AAS) to a second eNB. The cell shaping means that main coverage of the cell is maintained unchanged but an edge of the cell can be adapted to load demand. The cell un-shaping means that coverage of the cell goes back to original coverage.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system is provided. An eNodeB (eNB) of a first system transmits an indication, which indicates that handover of a user equipment (UE) from the eNB to a radio network controller (RNC) of a second system is a necessary handover, to the RNC. In addition, a method and apparatus for receiving an indication for inter-radio access technology (RAT) unnecessary handover in a wireless communication system is provided. An eNB of a first system transmits a request for measuring, by a UE, quality of signals from the first system, and information related to the inter-RAT unnecessary handover, and receives an indication for the inter-RAT unnecessary handover.
Abstract:
A method for determining handover of user equipments (UEs) attached to the mobile relay node, which performs a handover procedure from a source donor eNodeB (DeNB) to a target DeNB, in a wireless communication system is provided. A mobile relay node (RN) receives an indication including information on assignable resources for the RN, and determines whether to accept or reject the handover of each UE using the received indication and contexts of the UEs stored in the mobile relay node.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for performing dual connectivity operation in a heterogeneous network, which includes: transmitting a first message to a second eNB for the dual connectivity operation; and receiving a response for the first message from the second eNB, wherein the response includes E-RAB (E-UTRAN Radio Access Bearer) related information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting an indication in a wireless communication system is provided. A relay node (RN) transmits an indication which indicates that the RN is either a fixed relay node or a mobile relay node, and receives initial parameters from an operation, administration, and maintenance (OAM) according on the indication. If the RN is the mobile relay node, the initial parameters includes a list of donor eNodeB (DeNB) cells at a trajectory of the RN.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for fast small data transmission in a wireless communication system is provided. A last serving RAN node receives, from the wireless device and via a new RAN node, an AS-RAI related to early data transmission. A last serving RAN node decides whether a UE context relocation to the new RAN node for the wireless device is required or not based on the received AS-RAI. A last serving RAN node transmits, to the new RAN node, an RRC message based on the decision.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for adaptive QoE management in a RAN node in a wireless communication system is provided. A CU-CP receives, from a CN node, a first message informing a certain service to which an adaptive QoE management is applied. A CU-CP transmits, to a CU-UP and/or a DU, a second message informing that the adaptive QoE management is applied to the certain service. A CU-CP receives, from the CU-UP and/or the DU, a third message related to measurement results on the certain service based on the measurement information.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for small data transmission without a path switch procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. A new gNB, which is a radio access network (RAN) node to which a wireless device attempts a connection resume procedure while in an inactive state, receives an anchor kept indication and/or a small data indication from a last serving gNB. The anchor kept indication indicates that the last serving gNB keeps a user equipment (UE) context and/or a UE-associated NG connection with the core network. The small data indication indicates not relocating a UE context from the last serving gNB to the new gNB.
