Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method in which a terminal reports the results of quality measurement based on a specific reference cell from among a plurality of serving cells for the terminal in a mobile communication system using carrier aggregation. The present invention also relates to a terminal apparatus for the method. For this purpose, the terminal receives measurement configuration information from a network, performs a quality measurement in accordance with the received measurement configuration information, determines whether or not a report criterion based on a specific reference cell from among the plurality of cells for the terminal is met in accordance with the measurement result, and, if the report criterion based on the specific reference cell is met, sends a report message, including the measurement results and an indicator that indicates the specific reference cell, to the network.
Abstract:
The present specification proposes a scheme for controlling a deactivation timer of a cell. More specifically, the present specification proposes a method of controlling a deactivation timer of a cell in a mobile communication system. The method includes: configuring, at a user equipment (UE), a first deactivation timer of a first cell and a second deactivation timer of a second cell, wherein the first cell and the second cell belong to a same timing advance group (TAG); if the first deactivation timer of first cell expires, checking, at the UE, whether uplink timing of the same TAG is required to be maintained; and if the uplink timing of the same TAG is required to be maintained, restarting, at the UE, the first deactivation timer of the first cell.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for enabling a terminal to communicate with data by modifying an association relationship among component carriers in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation and an apparatus therefor. The method in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: receiving a message including identifier information for modifying an association relationship among at least one downlink component carrier and at least one uplink component carrier from a base station; receiving predetermined data through at least one downlink component carrier from the base station; and transmitting feedback data to the base station for data received through the uplink component carrier modified according to the identifier information.
Abstract:
A method for measuring performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: camping on a serving cell operating on a serving frequency; receiving a reselection priority information, the reselection priority information indicating signaled priorities for the serving frequency and a inter-frequency; determining whether to apply an implicit highest priority to the serving frequency for measurement; and measuring the inter-frequency based on the signaled priorities. The step of the determining comprises: wherein if the UE receives a logged measurement configuration for a logged Minimization Driving Test (MDT) and a type of the serving cell is a predetermined type, determining to apply a signaled priority for the serving frequency indicated by the reselection priority indication.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of measuring a packet throughput in a wireless communication system are provided. When determining a reference time for estimating packet throughput, a receiver determines the time that a data burst starts or ends in order to estimate the packet throughput considering a change in the data burst of the transmitter buffer. A measurement period is defined through the determined start time and end time of the data burst, and packet throughput is measured considering the total amount of the received data burst. The throughput of packet data may be estimated by each base station based on the same standard rule, so that the measured packet throughput values may be reliable, thus allowing the operator to make use of it as a parameter for MDT.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for supporting a closed subscriber group (CSG) service is provided. A user equipment determines whether a neighbor cell is a CSG member cell for which a CSG whitelist includes a CSG identity of the neighbor cell and PLMN identities of the neighbor cell. The user equipment sends a CSG membership indicator indicating whether the neighbor cell is the CSG member cell.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for supporting a closed subscriber group (CSG) service is provided. The apparatus includes a memory to store CSG subscription information and a processor operatively coupled to the RF unit and memory to implement a radio interface protocol. The processor accesses a base station (BS), transmits the CSG subscription information to the BS, receives an access mode from the BS where the access mode is determined based on the CSG subscription information, and negotiates with the BS with regard to a CSG service if the access mode supports a CSG to which the apparatus belongs.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus of communicating in a mobile communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives an configuration message including information on an in-device coexistence (IDC) indication from the base station. The UE determines whether or not to transmit an IDC indication message based on the received information on the IDC indication, and transmits the IDC indication message to the base station if it is determined to transmit the IDC indication message based on the received information on the IDC indication.
Abstract:
A method of discarding logged measurements in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connected mode receives a Minimization of Drive Tests (MDT) configuration from a base station and starts a validity timer upon receiving the MDT configuration. The user equipment in an RRC idle mode logs measurements based on the MDT configuration to collect logged measurements while the validity timer is running. When the validity timer is expired, the user equipment discards the MDT configuration and starts a conservation timer. When the conservation timer is expired, the logged measurements are discarded.
