    摘要: Systems and technique for wireless communication are described. A describe technique includes transmitting, from a first device, a request to send (RTS) to the second devices to protect a wireless communication neighborhood of the first device and wireless communication neighborhood of the second devices for transmission of a multi-user frame; receiving clear to send (CTS) responses from the second devices; determining a bandwidth width for the multi-user frame based on a bandwidth availability among the second devices as indicated by the CTS responses and bandwidth indications included in the CTS responses, the multi-user frame comprising spatially steered data frames that are respectively intended for the second devices and are in accordance with the determined bandwidth width; and transmitting the multi-user frame to the identified devices in accordance with the determined bandwidth width.

    摘要: In a method for generating a physical layer (PHY) data unit for transmission via a communication channel, information bits to be included in the PHY data unit are encoded using a forward error correction (FEC) encoder. Also, the information bits are encoded according to a block coding scheme, where m copies of each bit are included in the information bits, and one or more bits in the m copies of each bit are flipped. The information bits are mapped to a plurality of constellation symbols, and a plurality of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols are generated to include the plurality of constellation symbols. The PHY data unit is generated to include the plurality of OFDM symbols.

    摘要: A length of a time period corresponding to reserving a communication channel is determined, where the length of the time period exceeds the length of a beacon frame. A beacon frame is generated, the beacon frame having a duration field. The duration field is set to a value corresponding to the length of the time period in order to reserve the communication channel for the time period, the length of the time period exceeding the length of the beacon frame. The beacon frame is then transmitted.

Generating the physical frame can include including after an A-MPDU of the A-MPDUs in a steered frame of the steered frames, (i) a medium access control layer pad and (ii) a physical layer pad. A length of the medium access control layer pad and a length of the physical layer pad can be based on the physical frame.

A described technique includes transmitting a sounding packet to wireless communication devices; receiving, in response to the sounding packet, feedback packets from the wireless communication devices, wherein the feedback packets are indicative of beamforming matrices, the beamforming matrices being derived from received versions of the sounding packet; determining steering matrices based on the beamforming matrices; generating spatially steered data packets for the wireless communication devices based respectively on the steering matrices and data streams intended respectively for the wireless communication devices; and transmitting, within a frame, the spatially steered data packets to the wireless communications devices, wherein the spatially steered data packets concurrently provide the data streams respectively within the frame to the wireless communication devices via different spatial wireless channels.

    摘要: A method for generating signals to be transmitted within a basic service set (BSS) channel, where a set of component channels is collectively coextensive with the BSS channel, includes determining that a first duplicate, in frequency, of a low bandwidth mode data unit will be located at an edge of the BSS channel. Each duplicate includes orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) tones and has a bandwidth less than the narrowest channel of the component channels. The OFDM tones in each duplicate include one or more data tones, one or more pilot tones, and one or more guard tones. The method also includes generating a transmission signal comprising the duplicates, at least in part by scaling down at least one data tone, and/or zeroing out at least one data tone, of the first duplicate in response to determining that the first duplicate will be located at an edge of the BSS channel.

    摘要: A beamforming training (BFT) data unit for transmission via a communication channel in a wireless personal area network is generated, and in particular, is for transmitting beamforming training information. A physical layer header and first BFT data are encoded using block encoding to generate a first block. Second BFT data are encoded using block encoding to generate a second block. The BFT data unit is generated with a fixed-length payload, such that the BFT data unit includes only i) a preamble, ii) the first block, and iii) the second block.

    摘要: A first plurality of training data units are transmitted via a plurality of antennas of a first station as part of a first transmit beamforming training procedure. Subsequently, a second plurality of training data units are received via the plurality of antennas as part of second transmit beamforming procedure while the first station applies a single receive antenna configuration. The second plurality of training data units includes an information element that specifies a feedback from a second station, the feedback including an identifier corresponding to one of the training data units in the first plurality of data units. The first station transmits a feedback message to the second station, that includes (i) one or more indicators of one or more training data units selected from the second plurality of training data units, and (ii) a request to perform a subsequent beamforming training procedure.
