Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying messages using body-worn electronic display devices. One method includes receiving proximity data indicating a distance between a first electronic display device and a second electronic display device. The method also includes receiving first orientation data indicating an orientation of the first electronic display device and receiving second orientation data indicating an orientation of the second electronic display device. The method also includes determining a distributed message for display based on the proximity data, the first orientation data, and the second orientation data. The distributed message includes a first message for display on the first electronic display device and a second message for display on the second electronic display device. The method also includes displaying, by a controller, the first message on the first electronic display device and the second message on the second electronic display device.

Abstract: A system including a base affixed to a radio. The base includes a first base connector and a second base connector with a plurality of radial interconnectors positioned around the perimeter of the first base connector. The system includes an antenna connector including a first antenna connector and a second antenna connector with a plurality of radial interconnectors positioned around the perimeter of the first antenna connector. The first base connector is connected to the first antenna connector to form a central radio frequency (RF) coaxial connection and a first transmission line for a first antenna. Abstract: A device with linear slots for water drainage is provided. The device comprises: a bezel covering a cavity and a microphone/speaker mounted therein, the bezel having outer and inner faces, the inner face facing the cavity; linear slots through the bezel between the faces, the linear slots being obliquely angled relative to an upright axis of the bezel; linear slats separating the linear slots at the bezel and forming sides thereof having dimensions selected to promote formation of water droplets thereon of a size which overcome water surface tension and flow out of the linear slots when the bezel is exposed to one or more of mist, rain, water and humidity; and one or more recesses at the inner face, adjacent to the linear slots, the one or more recesses to collect water from the water droplets as the water flows out of the linear slots.

Abstract: A video recorder (100) is configured and assembled to provide improved ventilation for cooling and improved protection against liquid intrusion. The video recorder is formed of a main chassis housing, a top cover, and a bezel for coupling the top cover to the main chassis housing. Once assembled, channels are formed which provide paths for both liquid egress and airflow intake. The channels allow airflow into fan intake openings located within a top portion of the main chassis housing. The channels further provide for liquid to be diverted away from the fan intake openings.

Abstract: Electronic processing systems and methods for collaborating between vehicular threat detection appliances. One system includes a memory, a transceiver, an electronic processor, and a first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that is physically coupled to a first vehicle. The electronic processor is configured to identify a portion of the first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance having an obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is also configured to detect a second vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that is physically coupled to a second vehicle and has an unobstructed field-of-view of the obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is further configured to transmit a request to the second vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance to provide threat detection coverage for the first vehicle in a direction of the obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is also configured to temporarily disable the portion of the first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that has the obstructed field-of-view.

Abstract: A shoulder harness for supporting an electronic device includes a substrate having a pre-formed curvature such that the shoulder harness is biased to an at-rest state that is concave on a bottom-facing surface. A crest portion includes at least one slit adapted to secure the shoulder harness to a fastening element on a garment or other body-worn device. A front portion is coupled to the crest portion and extends in a forward direction from the crest portion. The front portion includes a receiving opening for attachment of the electronic device. A rear portion is coupled to the crest portion and extends in a rearward direction from the crest portion.

The method further includes determining, by the electronic controller, that the portable electronic device is in storage when both the first and second sensors sense the magnetic field.
