The article of manufacture is for an internal combustion engine supplied with lead-free fuel wherein the article is comprised of compressed and sintered metal powder having the entire resulting pore space filled with basalt. The article takes the form of a cylinder liner, a valve seat and/or a valve-seat ring.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus for determining the particle content of a particle stream using a source of light and two receivers arranged offset from one another in the flow direction of the particle stream. The receivers provide an electrical signal to an evaluation unit as a function of the radiation intensity which they receive, and this signal makes possible a determination of the flow velocity and particle size. Coincident passage of two particles is indicated by a pulse occurring in the signal due to a “roof collapse” in the pulse caused by a weakening of the radiation intensity as the particles pass a receiver.

    摘要: The proposal is for unsaturated fatty substances with improved cold behavior obtained by (a) transesterifying a new low stearic (LS) sunflower oil with an oleic acid content of over 85 wt. % and a stearic acid content of under 3 wt. %, and (b) hydrogenating the resultant methyl esters in the prior art manner into the corresponding unsaturated fatty alcohols in the iodine number range from 90 to 100. The fatty substances are also distinguished by improved color and odor and are suitable for making fatty chemical products, e.g. alkoxylates, ether sulphates, sulphates and esters.

    摘要: A control element for a sensor network having a set of different sensors. In operation, the control element transfers connections between the control element and the set of different sensors, where the transfer connections are compliant with respective sensor-specific protocols. A sensor controller element is provided for each sensor, and establishes transfer connections between the control element and new sensors in runtime. Information obtained in a sensor-specific protocol format from the sensors is converted into a common format in the sensor controller elements. The common format information is processed by a set of common control components of the control element. The control element provides a service based on the information in the common format to at least one consumer, and updates the service in accordance with the sensors present in the sensor network.
