摘要: A card game involving a high degree of strategy can be performed because card merge and reinforcement processing brought about by placing a plurality of cards is executed during a hand card process sequence prior to placement of each card on an arena area. Furthermore, it is possible with a game system and a recording medium to avoid to overuse face-down placement of specific cards that bring about specific effects, such as merges, reinforcement. Such overusing can be accomplished by imposing taxes on each player against merges and reinforcement involving a plural number of cards in the hand card sequence, and also against the face down placement of the specific cards.

摘要: A heating apparatus includes a heater 6 which includes a first heating conductor pattern 1, a second heating conductor patterns 2 and an elongated plate-shaped member 3 made of heat-resistive and insulated material. The first heating conductor pattern 1 is disposed in the central portion in a longitudinal direction of the plate-shaped member 3. The second heating conductor patterns are disposed in both end portions of the plate-shaped member in the longitudinal direction. The first heating conductor pattern 1 and the second heating conductor patterns 2 are independently controlled their temperature. Current is first fed to the first heating conductor pattern 1, and the current feeding is stopped, and current is then fed to the second heating conductor patterns 2. Accordingly, the protective member placed on and along the heater 6 is gradually heated from the center to both ends.

摘要: An image signal converting apparatus for converting a first image signal into a second image signal, where the first and second image signals include a plurality of pictures of different frames. A motion detector is operable to detect motion of the first image signal between a first frame and a second frame, and processing circuitry produces the second image signal based on an assumption of a pixel at a position corresponding to the detected motion. The apparatus may be employed to produce an output signal of either the same resolution as the first image signal with aliasing distortion reduced or eliminated, or with higher resolution in vertical and/or horizontal directions.

摘要: A a seal ring is made of a synthetic resin and has opposite ends. The seal ring has been imparted with shape-retentive property so that the seal ring is crossed at portions thereof located inside the opposite ends. The seal ring preferably has a smaller radius of curvature around the crossed portions and also around a portion thereof located diametrically opposite the crossed portions than around remaining portions thereof. Desirably, the seal ring may be in a substantially elliptic shape. The seal ring may preferably be symmetrical relative to a line extending between the crossed portions and a portion thereof located diametrically opposite the crossed portions.

摘要: A recording and/or reproducing apparatus for discs including a housing unit housing a large number of discs, a recording and/or reproducing unit on which one of the discs held within a large number of disc holders provided in the housing unit is selectively loaded and a transporting mechanism for transporting the disc held within a pre-set one of the holders of the housing unit to the recording and/or reproducing unit. In the course of transporting the disc, the disc transporting mechanism detects whether or not the disc is held in the holder. The housing unit include a plurality of the holders for radially holding the discs with the disc surfaces being erected upright. The disc held in the holder is transported by the transporting mechanism in the upstanding position as far as the disc reproducing unit and there loaded. The recording and/or reproducing apparatus for disc-shaped recording media has a group designating unit for designating the information of a desired one of the recording media housed within the housing unit and the air information recorded on such desired disc-shaped recording medium and grouping the designated information for classing the large number of the recording media into several groups.

摘要: A multi-color filter without a so-called bipolar phenomenon for use of color liquid crystal display devices is prepared by such a manner that plural sets of electroconductive circuits are prepared on transparent substrate; a given set of circuits on which a first color layer is to be formed is provided with a feeder circuit traversely in one lot; and the first electrodeposition is conducted by applying a current only to this set of circuits in order to impress a given voltage while voltage is increased gradually to a given level over a certain period of time, thereby forming the first color layer, and the electrodeposition is repeated in the similar way by applying current to each of the remaining sets of circuits.
