A combination search system includes: a storage that stores actual data in which input information indicating a combination of values taken by elements of the multi dimensions in the confirmation work in the past or in a real space is associated with output information indicating a value of the predetermined parameter obtained for the combination indicated by the input information at that time; and a search unit that repeats, a process of determining at least one combination to be used in next confirmation work on the basis of importance of information that is an index defined for each combination of the elements, the index being calculated from the actual data and being based on an amount of change in uncertainty of the value of the predetermined parameter in a whole of a search space due to that new output information for the combination is added to the actual data.

A thermoelectric conversion element 10 includes an anomalous Nernst material 11 having the anomalous Nernst effect, in which: the anomalous Nernst material 11 includes at least an element having the inverse spin-Hall effect; and the element is spin-polarized. By applying, for example, a magnetic field to such the thermoelectric conversion element 10 in the x direction and a temperature gradient thereto in the z direction, thermoelectromotive force can be taken out from terminals 12.

[Problem] To provide a heat exchange device with which efficient electric power generation can be performed while transfer of a heat amount is maintained. [Solution] A heat exchange device comprising a heat exchange section 1 and a magnetic body 2. The heat exchange section 1 includes a first heat transmission interface 3 in contact with a heat source, and a second heat transmission interface 4 in contact with a heat bath having a temperature different from that of the heat source. The magnetic body 2 is interposed between the first heat transmission interface 3 and the second heat transmission interface 4 of the heat exchange section 1, and includes a magnetization component in a direction intersecting a heat flux produced between the first heat transmission interface 3 and the second heat transmission interface 4.

A spin current-electric current conversion structure using a material containing 5d-transition metal has low efficiency of spin current-electric current conversion; therefore, a spin current-electric current conversion structure according to an exemplary aspect of the present invention includes a 4d-transition metal oxide structure consisting primarily of an oxide containing a 4d-transition-metal element; a spin current input-output structure configured to allow a spin current to flow into and out in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the 4d-transition metal oxide structure; and an electric current input-output structure configured to allow an electric current to flow into and out, the electric current conducting in an in-plane direction of the 4d-transition metal oxide structure.

A transfer unit generates a transferred image by transferring a whole or part of a determination target closed curve, which represents an outline of an airspace and is formed of one or more line segments on a spherical surface, from its original position to another position on the spherical surface in such a manner that the transferred image has no intersection point with the determination target closed curve. A line segment generation unit generates, from the line segments forming the determination target closed curve, a determination line segment an intersection point with the transferred image and having no intersection point with other line segments forming the determination target closed curve. An airspace recognition unit recognizes, as the airspace, a region in which the determination line segment is not present, the region being one of two regions on the spherical surface that are defined by the determination target closed curve.

A position relation in a region of any shape or size on the earth is determined correctly and highly accurately. A shape determination device 100 includes a candidate point detection unit 31 and an intersection point detection unit 32. The candidate point detection unit 31 detects, as a candidate point, a point of intersection between a first reference circle to which an inputted first line segment on an inputted true sphere belongs and a second reference circle to which an inputted second line segment on the true sphere belongs. The intersection point detection unit 32 determines whether the candidate point is an intersection point between the first line segment and the second line segment.
