    Abstract: A stabilizer includes: a stabilizer bar made of a pipe material; and a stabilizer link that couples the stabilizer bar and a suspension device. The stabilizer link includes a ball stud which includes a shaft portion inserted to and fixed in an opening end of the stabilizer bar and a ball portion formed at a leading end of the shaft portion, a housing which rotatably supports the ball portion, and a flexible dust cover which includes one end attached on the housing so as to be unmovable in a ball stud axis direction and the other end attached on at least either of the shaft portion and the stabilizer bar and which seals a space between the housing and the ball stud.

    Abstract: A stabilizer link of the present invention includes connecting parts that has a housing which supports a ball stud to be connected to the first or second structure so as to be swingable and rotatable, wherein the ball stud has a stud part extending from a spherical part and the housing houses a support member to support a spherical part of the ball stud in a spherical space so as to be slidable, wherein the support member includes: an opening where the spherical space is open for the stud part; a lubricant receiving part in a concave shape that faces the opening; and a wall surface that forms the spherical space for the spherical part to slide thereon and has recessed grooves formed on both sides or one side of a portion of the wall surface having the maximum inner radius about the central axis of the spherical space.

    Abstract: A ball joint includes: a ball stud including a stud portion having one end portion connected to a structural member and another end portion, to which a ball portion is integrally joined; a housing made of metal and configured to support the ball portion to allow swinging and rotating movement of the ball portion; and a ball seat made of plastic and interposed between the housing and the ball portion. The ball seat includes a plurality of protrusions jutting out from the ball seat and inserted into a plurality of through holes formed in a bottom portion of the housing. The protrusions having pierced through the through holes are staked at their distal portions. The protrusion of the ball seat has a large diameter portion, whose diameter is larger than an inner diameter of the through hole, at its proximal portion proximal from the distal portion thereof.

    Abstract: A torque tuning method includes a high-frequency induction heating apparatus that generates a magnetic field from a coil by passing an alternating current (i) to the coil, which is arranged so as to be separated from an outer housing. By passing the current (i) having a predetermined frequency from the high-frequency induction heating apparatus to the coil, a ball portion is induction-heated by a magnetic field generated from the coil through which the current (i) flows, and after the ball portion has reached a temperature at which a ball seat can be deformed by induction heating, the current (i) is stopped and the ball portion is cooled.

    Abstract: A method for producing a stabilizer and a heating device allows the entirety of a hollow member to be uniformly heated to a temperature necessary for heat treatment, even in a case in which a cross section varying hollow member is used as the starting material. In a preliminary heating process, energizing heating is performed between electrodes, which are arranged at cross section varying parts at both ends of large cross sectional area part, which can be heated. In an entire heating process, by performing energizing heating between electrodes, which are arranged at both ends of the cross section varying hollow member, the latter can be heated. In the preliminary heating process, it is desirable to perform energization heating at a part having a cross sectional area ratio of 90% or more with respect to the part having a large cross sectional area in the cross section varying part.
