At least one metal foam may be disposed in the tube internal cross section of the at least one metal tube element of the tubular spring in at least one part-region. In particular, the metal foam may be connected in an at least partially materially integral manner to the tube internal wall of the metal tube element. The at least one metal tube element may have an at least partially martensitic structure.

摘要: A height control valve assembly for an axle/suspension system of a vehicle includes a height control valve in fluid communication with a compressed air source, with at least one air spring of said vehicle, and with atmosphere. The height control valve is attached to the frame of the vehicle and includes a flow control means for regulating fluid flow through the valve. A control arm is operatively attached to the flow control means, whereby movement of the control arm regulates fluid flow through the height control valve. The height control valve assembly further includes a link having a first end and a second end. The first end of the link is operatively attached to the control arm. The second end of the link is attached to the beam of the axle/suspension system, such that the ends of the link are generally vertically aligned.

摘要: An independent suspension system for a motor vehicle is disclosed having left and right road wheels rotatably supported by left and right wheel support members. Each of the wheel support members is positioned by laterally extending upper and lower suspension arms. A pair of torsion bar springs interconnect the left and right lower suspension arms and function as main suspension springs, as anti-roll stabilizers and as drag struts locating the suspension arms longitudinally. The torsion bars have single loops or coils in their drag strut portions to provide a desired low spring rate for the suspension.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a hollow coil spring which is made of a hollow wire in which a terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of the wire. The terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through the center of the wire is the symmetric axis. The hollow coil spring includes an end wall portion, and an end face arc-shaped curved surface. The end wall portion includes an end face perpendicular to the axis. A distal-end-center closure portion is formed on the axis at the center of the end wall portion. A spring seat includes a base member and a sheet member. An end turn portion of the hollow coil spring is in contact with the sheet member. The end face of the end turn portion is opposed to a stopper wall of the spring seat.

摘要: This stabilizer link includes a metal support bar, and ball joints that are provided at both ends of the support bar. Each ball joint includes a ball stud one end of which is fastened to a suspension device or a stabilizer, and which has a ball part at the other end thereof, and a housing that rotatably supports the ball part of the ball stud. The support bar includes: a body part extending in a nearly linear shape, and reinforcement parts each having a nearly annular shape and each provided at both ends of the body part. The reinforcement parts of the support bar are each embedded in the housing so as to surround the ball part.

摘要: A stabilizer including: a main body for generating an elastic restoring force; and connecting portions formed on both ends of the main body and respectively connected to left and right suspension devices. Hardness of the connecting portions is lower than that of the main body. A method for manufacturing the stabilizer includes, in order, an entire body heat treatment process for heat treating an entire stabilizer and increasing hardness of the entire stabilizer, and a connecting portion softening process for heating the connecting portions and reducing the hardness of the connecting portions. The method for manufacturing the stabilizer thereby increases hardness of the main body and reduces the hardness of the connecting portions lower than that of the main body.
