    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices. methods. apparatuses and computer-readable storage medium for resources usage optimization. In some example embodiments. from a first device. a second device receives a first set of indications of the first pool of resources for a first communication feature and a second set of indications of the second pool of resources for a second communication feature. The first set of indications is partially overlapping with the second set of indications when the first pool of resources is partially overlapping with the second pool of resources. The second device determines a random access resource based at least on a communication feature to be performed by the second device and the received first and second set of indications. The communication feature comprises at least one of the first communication feature and the second communication feature. The second device performs a random access using the determined random access resource.

    Abstract: Various techniques are provided for an apparatus that can identify a multicast and broadcast services session associated with user equipment device(s) in a serving cell associated with the apparatus, communicate a first information set including information associated with the serving cell and the MBS session provided in the serving cell, receive from an apparatus associated with a neighboring cell, a second information set including information associated with the neighboring cell and an MBS session provided in the neighboring cell, determine at least one MBS serving characteristic associated with the serving cell based on the UEs in the serving cell being served by the apparatus and the received second information set, determine whether the serving cell associated with the apparatus is a preferred cell to serve the MBS session to UEs based on the at least one MBS serving characteristic, and in response to determining that the serving cell associated with the apparatus is the preferred cell to serve the MBS session to UEs, serving, by the apparatus, the MBS session to the UEs communicatively coupled with the apparatus.

    Abstract: A method includes transmitting, by a network apparatus to a user equipment (UE) based on a first condition, a first command to activate a protocol data unit set importance (PSI)-based discard at the UE, where the PSI-based discard includes discarding a protocol data unit (PDU) set based on a PSI level of the PDU set satisfying a PSI criterion, and where the PDU set includes one or more PDUs carrying a payload of one unit of information at an application level; and transmitting, by the network apparatus to the UE based on a second condition, a second command to cancel the PSI-based discard at the UE.

    Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method comprising: buffering a first radio link control, RLC, data unit of a radio bearer for transmission to a receiving device, starting a retransmission timer responsive to providing the first RLC data unit for transmission to the receiving device, and retransmitting the buffered first RLC data unit in response to a request for a second RLC data unit of the radio bearer before expiry of the retransmission timer, wherein the second RLC data unit is to be transmitted to the receiving device after the first RLC data unit.
