摘要: A data transmission technique where high speed data is transmitted differentially in a forward channel by way of a serial link, and relatively low speed data is differentially modulated onto the forward channel signal for transmission in a reverse channel via the link. By utilizing differential modulation in both forward and reverse channels, the resulting signal has a common mode voltage that is substantially constant, resulting in low EMI. The spectral content of the signal associated with the high speed data may be substantially non-overlapping with the spectral content of the signal associated with the low speed data. This facilitates the recovery of the high speed data and low speed data with minimal interference. The differential signaling lends itself for communicating data via an inexpensive medium, such as twisted wire pair or parallel PCB traces. The data transmission technique applies to various communication network topologies: point-to-point, daisy-chain, and point-to-multiple points.

摘要: Disclosed are a retransmission method, a base station, and a user device in a multicast system. In order to reduce uplink signaling resource, a new MNI (Multiple NACK Indicator) message is added to an uplink common feedback channel in an existing E-MBMS system. The MNI message enables decision of an XOR retransmission group which satisfies the XOR retransmission condition. As compared to a conventional XOR retransmission, the number of uplink signalings does not depend on the number of receivers. That is, when a plenty of receptions are present, it is possible to significantly reduce uplink signalings.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for adaptive data rate selection in a high data rate (HDR) communication system are disclosed. An exemplary HDR communication system defines a set of data rates, at which an access point (AP) may transmit data packets to an access terminal (AT). The transmission data rate is selected to maintain target packet error rate (PER). Each AT monitors signal quality metric of signals received from APs. An AT receiving forward link signals from multiple ATs identifies the AT associated with the highest quality forward link signal.

摘要: Intelligent speech recognition is used to provide users with the ability to utter more user friendly commands. Satisfaction is increased when a user can vocalize a subset of a formal command name and still have the intended command identified and processed. Moreover, greater accuracy in identifying a command application from a user's utterance can be achieved by ignoring command choices associated with unlikely user utterances. An intelligent speech recognition system can identify differing acceptable verbal command phrase forms, e.g., but not limited to, complete commands, command subsequences and command subsets, for different commands supported by the system. Subset blocking words are identified for assistance in reducing the ambiguity in matching user verbal command phrases with valid commands supported by the intelligent speech recognition system.

摘要: A wafer having a top surface including a first material such as silicon dioxide or silicon nitride and a second material such as polysilicon or copper is etched so as to leave elements formed from the second material projecting above the surrounding surface defined by the first material. An opaque layer may be applied over the newly-formed top surface covered by a transparent layer such as a photoresist. The opaque layer has raised features corresponding to the projecting features formed from the second material. These raised features provide contrast and allow an optical system to locate the wafer as, for example, in registering the wafer in a wafer stepper. Alternatively, transparent layers such as an oxide dielectric and a photoresist may be applied after etching. The projecting elements formed by etching remain visible through the transparent layers and similarly allow optical location.

摘要: The invention relates to the information storage. It consists of a computer, a precise rotary table, a writing laser source, a readout laser source, a spatial filter, a spatial light modulator, lens, mirrors, photorefractive crystals (such as doubly doped lithium niobate), and a phase-mismatch adjustor; Due to used a green light (532 nm) as the writing light, and a red light (670 nm) as the readout light, the signal-to-noise ratio is improved greatly and the problem of fixing the stored information is solved. The transmission configuration is used to realize the high-density digital storage in which the irregular lens is designed to work as a phase-mismatch adjustor and read out the whole stored image with no distortion and loss. The dynamically differential encoding and decoding technique is used to suppress the bit-error-rate to lower than 10−6.
