    Abstract: A method for UL control signaling for carrier aggregation, CoMP and/or eICIC is disclosed. The method includes determining whether multiple FB (such as, a plurality of FB each for one channel of a multiple of channels, a plurality of FB regarding one channel (CSI, A/N, etc.), etc. for example) is to be simultaneously transmitted. The multiple FB are related to at least one CA, CoMP and/or eICIC transmission. A RS resource for an UL control signal message is selected. The RS resource includes an indication that the multiple FB is present in the UL control signal message. The method jointly encodes the multiple FB. The UL control signal message including the indication and the jointly encoded multiple FB is transmitted from a UE to a network element. Apparatus and computer readable media are also disclosed.

    Abstract: There is provided a frame structure for a cellular communication system. According to an embodiment, there is provided a first radio frame configuration defining a frame structure of a radio frame comprising at least one sub-frame dedicated only for downlink transmission. There is also provided a second radio frame configuration defining a frame structure of a radio frame comprising at least one flexible special sub-frame configurable as either a flexible downlink sub-frame or as a flexible uplink sub-frame, wherein the flexible downlink sub-frame and the flexible uplink sub-frame both comprise an uplink part and a downlink part, and wherein both the uplink part and the downlink part carry at least one of control information and a reference signal. Amongst a set of radio frame configurations comprising at least the first and second radio frame configuration, a radio frame configuration is selected and a radio signal carrying an information element indicating the selected radio frame configuration is exchanged in order to configure the selected radio frame configuration for use in the cellular communication system.

According to an aspect, a method comprises: allocating, in a network node of the cellular communication system, at least one set of available lengths for use in selection of a length of at least one of an uplink control part and a downlink control part of a sub-frame; selecting, in the network node, a length of at least one of the uplink control part and the downlink control part of the sub-frame, the length being selected amongst the at least one set of available lengths, the sub-frame comprising the uplink control part carrying at least one of uplink control information and an uplink reference signal and further comprising the downlink control part carrying at least one of downlink control information and a downlink reference signal; and causing transmission of a message comprising at least one information element indicating the selected length of the at least one of uplink control part and downlink control part of the sub-frame.
