    摘要: A controller of a magnetic resonance system determines an activation signal vector based on a target field predetermined for the controller in conjunction with field characteristics of field coils known to the controller. The activation signal vector includes a respective activation signal for each field coil. The controller determines the activation signal vector such that within a predetermined examination volume of the magnetic resonance system, any deviation of an ideal field that would result if ideal coils were subjected to the activation signals of the activation signal vector from the target field is minimized. The controller determines a compensation signal vector based on the activation signal vector in conjunction with eddy current characteristics of the field coils known to the controller. The compensation signal vector is used to minimize a deviation of an actual field from the target field within the predetermined examination volume of the magnetic resonance system.

In one embodiment, an apparatus includes an RF coil for use in multi-nuclear excitation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The RF coil includes a set of two or more L-C coils. Members of the set of two or more L-C coils have individual resonance frequencies. An RF amplifier is placed near the RF coil. The RF amplifier is controllable to selectively produce the individual resonance frequency of a member of the set of two or more L-C coils based, at least in part, on a digital input provided to the RF amplifier.

    摘要: In a method for identifying spikes in magnetic resonance signals obtained in magnetic resonance tomography, a magnetic resonance signal is obtained and is high-pass filtered. A statistical evaluation of the high-pass filtered magnetic resonance signal is then undertaken to determine whether the high-pass filtered magnetic resonance signal contains spikes which can be differentiated from a noise signal. If so, such spikes are identified, and can be removed from the raw data so that they do not contribute to image artifacts.

Seen in the flow direction, an acceleration channel is arranged ahead of the dispersing chamber (12), which acceleration channel (8) partially covers the metering plate (4) with part of its longitudinal surface and opens out tangentially into a cylindrical dwell-time chamber (9). The dwell-time chamber (9) is, in turn, connected via a central outlet (10) of smaller diameter than the cylindrical dwell-time chamber (9) to a circular discharge chamber (11 ) which the dispersing chamber ( 12) adjoins tangentially.

    摘要: A pulse sequence is disclosed for operating a nuclear magnetic resonance tomography apparatus for producing images having different T.sub.2 contrast. A signal for the gradient-echo imaging is first acquired after excitation of the nuclei subsequently, the magnetization, which is already prepared for imaging, is refocused by a 180.degree. radio-frequency pulse, and a second echo is measured in the presence of a readout gradient. Independent images having different T.sub.2 contrast can be reconstructed with the gradient echo and with the spin echo. It is thus possible to simultaneously measure a gradient echo image having a significantly lower T.sub.2 contrast during the measuring time for a spin echo image.

    摘要: The water content of electrically non-conductive powders, granulates, pastes and fibrous materials may be measured on the basis of microwave absorption. A frequency-modulated microwave oscillator supplies a closed multimode measuring resonator charged with the sample in a transmission arrangement. The sample charged into a container almost completely fills the multimode resonator. The sample container is rotatable about its longitudinal axis. A substantial homogeneity of the field distribution in the sample is thus obtained so that even in the case of variations in the bulk density, accurate measurements are still possible.
