摘要: A carbonation machine includes a pneumatic chamber with a movable wall. The wall moves outward to depress a pin of a gas release valve of a gas canister that is held in a canister holder of the machine when air pressure in the chamber is increased. An air release valve is closable to retain air in the chamber. An air pump is operable to pump air from the ambient atmosphere into the chamber so as to increase air pressure in the chamber. A controller is configured to close the air release valve and to operate the air pump to increase the air pressure in the chamber to move the movable wall outward to open the gas release valve of the canister to cause release of gas from the canister to carbonate a liquid, and to open the air release valve to enable the gas release valve to close.

摘要: Systems, methods and cartridges for carbonating or otherwise dissolving gas in a precursor liquid, such as water, to form a beverage. A gas source can be provided in a cartridge which is used to generate gas that is dissolved into the precursor liquid. A beverage medium, such as a powdered drink mix or liquid syrup, may be provided in the same, or a separate cartridge as the gas source and mixed with the precursor liquid to form a beverage. The use of one or more cartridges for the gas source and/or beverage medium may make for an easy to use and mess-free system for making sparkling beverages, e.g., in the consumer's home.

摘要: An aeration diffuser (12) for a pressurized liquid treatment module includes a base having a gas passageway (32) and a liquid passageway (50) fluidically separated from the gas passageway. Liquid is injectable into the liquid passageway of the base of the diffuser. Liquid flows through the base of the diffuser and into the module to be filtered by filtration membrane(s) within the module. Gas is injectable into the gas passageway of the base of the diffuser. Gas flowes through the base of the diffuser separately from the liquid to aerate the filtration membrane(s) within the module. Further a module including one or more diffusers and a method of filtration is disclosed.

摘要: An aeration apparatus includes an injection nozzle provided at one of the open ends of a main body formed in the shape of a cylinder. When the injection nozzle is immersed in a liquid, the main body stands upright such that the injection nozzle is on a lower side, and gas is injected inside the main body from the injection nozzle to disperse the gas. The injection nozzle is disposed such that a center line of an injection port formed at the tip of the injection nozzle intersects the inner flow channel surface at a position lower than a blade member disposed in the lowest stage, and such that the angle formed between the center line and the vertical direction is not greater than 45 degrees.

摘要: A water aeration system encases an air pump and a solar power controller in an encasement structure with one or more air permeable sidewalls. The encasement structure is mounted at or near a top end of a mounting pole. A solar panel is mounted directly or indirectly to the encasement or to the mounting pole at or near the top end of the mounting pole. An air conduit is threaded through a hollow channel in the mounting pole, and then underground and/or under water for joining to an immersed diffuser. The water aeration system operates without a battery or energy accumulator, and is tamper-resistant. The air pump and controller are inside the encasement structure, the solar panel and encasement structure are mounted several feet above the ground surface, and the conduit between the pump and the diffuser is held inside the mounting pole.
