Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for tissue dissection and modification are disclosed herein. A method for tissue dissection and modification may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting and modifying wand (TDM) through an incision in a patient's body. The TDM may comprise a tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions to dissect and/or modify tissue. The TDM may also comprise an energy window positioned on top of the TDM that is configured to deliver energy to modify tissues. After separating tissue using the lysing segment(s) to define a target region, the energy window may be activated and moved around within the target region to modify tissues. In some implementations, the energy window may be activated prior to and/or during dissection of the tissue such that the tissue is separated while tissue is modified within the target region.

Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for modifying hair follicles are disclosed herein. A method for modifying hair follicles may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting and modifying wand (TDM) into an incision in a patient's skin. The TDM may comprise a tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions. The TDM may also comprise an energy window positioned on top of the TDM that is configured to deliver energy to incapacitate hair follicles. After separating tissue using the lysing segment(s) to define a target region, the energy window may be activated and moved around within the target region to incapacitate hair follicles. In some implementations, the energy window may be activated prior to separating the tissue such that the tissue is separated while hair follicles are incapacitated within the target region.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus and systems for incapacitating eccrine glands are disclosed herein. A method for incapacitating eccrine glands may comprise inserting a tissue dissecting and modifying wand (TDM) into an incision in a patient's skin. The TDM may comprise a tip having a plurality of protrusions with lysing segments positioned between the protrusions. The TDM may also comprise an energy window positioned on top of the TDM that is configured to deliver energy to incapacitate eccrine glands. In some implementations, the energy window may be activated prior to separating the tissue such that the tissue is separated while eccrine glands are incapacitated within the target region.
Abstract:
Disclosed are embodiments of apparatus, methods, and systems for securing electronic articles, such as computers, for theft deterrence or prevention. In one embodiment, a body is provided, which is secured to an intermediary structure. The intermediary structure is, in turn, secured to the electronic article. The body may be configured as a mass such that it is of sufficient weight, shape, and/or size to allow for deterring theft. In some embodiments, the system is configured to render inaccessible, or at least impede access to, at least one piece of fastening hardware between the intermediary structure and the body and/or between the intermediary structure and the electronic article, thereby further deterring theft.
Abstract:
A device is described that can be used quickly and accurately by surgeons to provide uniform facial tissue planes that are tunnel-free and wall-free thus optimizing face lifting, tightening, and implant delivery. The device is comprised of a shaft with a substantially planar tip further comprised of relative protrusions and energized relative recession lysing segments. Forward motion of the device precisely divides and energizes various tissue planes causing contraction, especially via the fibrous tissues. Other forms of energy and matter can be delivered down the shaft to further enhance desirable tissue modification and contraction.
