Abstract: A relay supporting multiple relay modes is provided. The relay transmits capability information to a base station, the capability information indicating support for a first relay mode and a second relay mode. The relay determines a mode of operation, either on its own or based on an indication of a mode of operation from the base station, wherein the mode of operation comprises the first relay mode or the second relay mode. The relay communicates with at least one of the base station or another wireless device based at least in part on the determined mode of operation.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a child node may receive a message, from a serving or neighboring cell, that includes an indication of an intended time division duplex (TDD) configuration for the serving or neighboring cell. The indication may include downlink and uplink indicators for at least one slot used within the intended TDD configuration. Accordingly, the child node may determine a symbol to use within a TDD configuration for the child node, based at least in part on receiving the message. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: In certain aspects, the disclosure is directed to a user equipment (UE) configured for wireless communications with a network node. The UE may include a memory comprising instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions. In some examples, the UE may transmit, to a network node, an indication of an expected communication. In some examples, the UE may receive, from the network node, updated scheduling in response to the indication of the expected communication. For example, the UE may predict a future sidelink/uplink communication based on whether the UE expects data for a future uplink transmission. If the UE expects that it will have data for a future uplink transmission, the UE may notify the network node so that the network node can enter into a low power state until the future transmission, then provide the UE with a sidelink/uplink grant for the future uplink transmission.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine to operate in accordance with an energy saving mode in which the base station only transmits remaining minimum system information (RMSI) on-demand or reduces transmission of RMSI with respect to when the base station is operating outside of the energy saving mode. A user equipment (UE) may detect the base station that is operating in an energy saving mode. The UE may transmit a request for the base station to transmit the RMSI to the UE, where the UE may transmit the request to the energy saving base station or to a serving base station of the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station operating in the energy saving mode and responsive to the request, a message including the remaining minimum system information.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beam configuration for RF repeaters. An RF repeater is configured to measure received power of one or more signals in the repeater for each of a plurality of beam directions. Abstract: A configuration for self interference and cross link interference (CLI) management of bidirectional smart repeaters. The apparatus transmits, to a first wireless device, a measurement configuration to measure interference. The measurement configuration comprising a first measurement occasion and a second measurement occasion. The apparatus receives, from the first wireless device, a report of measured interference at the first wireless device based on the measurement configuration. Part of the measured interference under the first measurement occasion is based at least on transmissions forwarded by a relay node.

Abstract: A wireless node in a wireless multi-hop network may transmit, based at least in part on a change in multiplexing capability relating to communications on one or more radio link control (RLC) channels, information to at least one of a parent node or a child node that enables the at least one of the parent node or the child node to prioritize communications with the wireless node. The wireless node may transmit or receive communications prioritized according to the information with the at least one of the parent node or the child node.
