    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first user equipment (UE) receives, from a network entity, a capability enquiry message for a sidelink positioning procedure, the capability enquiry message including at least a request for an indication of whether the first UE has the capability to provide a location of the first UE for the sidelink positioning procedure, and transmits, to the network node, a capability information message indicating one or more capabilities of the first UE to participate in the sidelink positioning procedure, the one or more capabilities of the first UE including at least the indication of whether the first UE has the capability to provide the location of the first UE for the sidelink positioning procedure.

A user equipment (UE) may generate sidelink assistance information based on an interference condition associated with an initial transmission of sidelink communication over a sidelink resource of a sidelink resource pool.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may establish a unicast connection over a sidelink communications with a second UE. To establish the unicast connection over the sidelink, the first UE may transmit a request message (e.g., a first message) to the second UE, and the second UE may transmit a response message (e.g., a second message) to the first UE accepting the request. The unicast connection over the sidelink may then be established between the first UE and the second UE, and user data may then be transmitted over the sidelink on the established unicast connection. Additionally, the first UE may transmit a connection complete message (e.g., a third message) to the second UE indicating that the unicast connection has been established. The request message, the response message, and the connection complete message may be radio resource control (RRC) messages.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. User equipments (UEs) may transmit sidelink control information (SCI) messages indicating reservations for upcoming sidelink transmissions in the same reserved resource. One of the UEs or another UE may detect a collision in the reserved resource based on the SCI messages. A feedback channel resource for indicating the collision may be calculated based on a time domain parameter of a resource mapping between time domain resources of the sidelink feedback channel and time domain resources of the reserved resource or a frequency domain parameter of a resource mapping between frequency domain resources of the sidelink feedback channel and frequency domain resources of the SCI message. A UE may transmit a collision indication in the calculated feedback channel resource. The UEs that transmitted the SCI messages may monitor the calculated feedback channel resource for a collision indication for the reserved resource.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring sidelink communications between user equipment's (UEs). Per one technique, during a discovery opportunity, a first UE and a second UE may identify a subset of beam pairs suitable for communication, and schedule a discontinuous transmission (DTX) occasion during the discovery opportunity. During the DTX occasion, the first UE and second UE may perform a beam refinement procedure to determine a beam pair (BP) over which to communicate, from the identified subset of beam pairs. The beam refinement procedure may include beam narrowing of at least one of the identified subset of beam pairs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine a default operating mode based on the geographic location (e.g., zone) of the base station, for user equipment (UEs) operating in that zone to use. The operating mode may be a full duplex (FD) operating mode or a half duplex (HD) operating mode. A UE operating in the zone may receive, from the base station, an indication of the default operating mode corresponding to the zone, and may select an operating mode based on the indication. The mode selected by the UE may be the same as or different than the indicated default operating mode. For example, the UE may determine to use either FD mode or HD mode based on operation parameters, interference measurements, signaling from a base station or other UEs, one or more measurement thresholds, or some combination thereof.
