    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A receiving device may receive, at a central unit of the receiving device, information from which the central unit is able to identify a hash calculated based at least in part on a data portion of a message received by a distributed unit of the receiving device. The receiving device may confirm, at the central unit and based at least in part on the hash, an integrity of the data portion of the message. Additionally or alternatively, a distributed unit of the receiving device may confirm the integrity of the data portion of the message. The receiving device may authorize, based at least in part on the integrity confirmation, one or more user plane tunnels with the distributed unit to forward the data portion of the message from the distributed unit to the central unit after processing at the distributed unit.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for wirelessly routing packets. One method includes storing a mapping of one or more identifiers to one or more radio bearers associated with one or more destination devices. Each identifier is mapped to at least one radio bearer associated with at least one destination device. The method includes establishing an association with a network node and receiving information indicative of the mapping from the network node. The method includes determining the mapping based on the information indicative of the mapping. The method includes obtaining a first packet containing a first identifier and mapping the first packet to at least a first radio bearer associated with a first destination device based on the mapping and the first identifier. The method includes transmitting the first packet wirelessly over the at least one first radio bearer to the first destination device.

    Abstract: One or more selectively activated features needed at a device to use a network service may be identified. Authorization information and feature activation key(s) associated with features that the device has been authorized to activate may be obtained at the device. The feature activation key(s) may be used to activate and/or maintain activation of the authorized features that match the selectively activated feature(s) needed to use the network service. An authorization server may obtain a request to activate one or more selectively activated features of a device. The authorization server may verify that the selectively activated feature(s) are authorized to be used at the device based on an authorization agreement obtained at the authorization server. The authorization server may send proof that the device is authorized to use the selectively activated feature(s) and may send feature activation key(s) based on the authorization agreement in response to the request.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed to protect a user equipment's international mobile subscriber identity by providing a privacy mobile subscriber identity instead. In an attach attempt to a serving network, the UE provides the PMSI instead of IMSI, protecting the IMSI from exposure. The PMSI is determined between a home network server and the UE so that intermediate node elements in the serving network do not have knowledge of the relationship between the PMSI and the IMSI. Upon receipt of the PMSI in the attach request, the server generates a next PMSI to be used in a subsequent attach request and sends the next PMSI to the UE for confirmation. The UE confirms the next PMSI to synchronize between the UE and server and sends an acknowledgment token to the server. The UE and the server then each update local copies of the current and next PMSI values.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method of wireless communication at a transmitting wireless device includes generating a first Message Authentication Code (MAC) for a data packet based at least in part on a first security key used to communicate with a receiving wireless device; generating a second MAC for the data packet based at least in part on a second security key used to communicate with a relay user equipment (UE), in which the relay UE is included in a data routing path between the transmitting wireless device and the receiving wireless device; and transmitting the data packet to the relay UE with at least the first MAC and the second MAC.
