    Abstract: Inform a master node about the feasible of secondary node cells during resumption of dual connectivity may require a large message. Additionally, the message may need to be encrypted. A solution to overcome the size and security limitation is to report a short identifier (or index) which is only shared between the UE and the MN. Accordingly, an apparatus, e.g., a UE, may be configured to receive, from a master node, a configuration comprising a mapping of cell identities for a plurality of secondary cells for reporting SN measurements and transmitting an SN report comprising measurements for at least a subset of the plurality of secondary cells using the mapping of cell identities. The apparatus may be configured to receive, from a first master node, a configuration for MN-DC, enter an inactive state or an idle state, and resume a connected state with a second master node.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable storage medium for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) is provided. The UE receives an indication of one or more timers associated with a radio resource control (RRC) connection establishment procedure or an RRC connection re-establishment procedure with a network entity via a relay. The UE transmits a request associated with an RRC connection to a second UE to be relayed to the network entity and monitors for a response from the network entity based on the one or more timers associated with the RRC connection establishment procedure or the RRC connection re-establishment procedure via the second UE as the relay.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Layer two (L2) relay techniques may support early measurements for relay selection. During a transition to an idle or inactive state, a remote user equipment (UE) may receive a radio resource control (RRC) release message indicating a list of relay UE candidates on which to perform early measurements. The remote UE may perform the early measurements and may transmit a measurement report to abase station indicating the measurements. Based on the early measurements of the relay UE candidates performed by the remote UE and the measurement report, the base station may select a relay UE candidate-remote UE relay pairing, and may transmit an indication of the pairing to the remote UE along with other relay configuration information. Using the identified relay pairing, the remote UE may establish a sidelink connection with the identified relay UE candidate.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information that configures multiple random access channel (RACH) partitions, wherein the multiple RACH partitions are each associated with a respective combination of one or more RACH features. The UE may select, from the multiple RACH partitions, a RACH partition based at least in part on the UE satisfying one or more criteria for the combination of one or more RACH features associated with the RACH partition. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a preamble on physical RACH (PRACH) resources associated with the RACH partition to initiate a RACH procedure supporting the combination of one or more RACH features associated with the RACH partition. The resource allocation may be associated with autonomous transmissions from the device in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The base station may generate and provide a message for transmission to the device. The message may convey an indication of the resource allocation. The device may receive the message and use the resource allocation to identify a transmission schedule for the autonomous transmissions.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless systems, a user equipment (UE) may access a network or cell using a random access (RACH) procedure. A base station may allocate dedicated RACH resources and common RACH resources for the UE to transmit a RACH preamble message on and may convey a configuration for the UE. In some cases, the UE may perform multiple transmissions of the RACH preamble message in the dedicated RACH resources, and based on the configuration may determine whether to perform a single or multiple transmissions of the RACH preamble message in the common RACH resources. The UE may transmit the messages using the same or different uplink transmit beams, and the base station may receive the messages using the same or different uplink reception beams. These multiple transmissions may reduce latency and improve reliability of the RACH procedure.
