Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for beam sweeping for control and data transmissions. In certain aspects, the method for use by a first wireless communications device includes determining one or more beams in a sequence of beams for use in sending or receiving directional transmissions to a second wireless communications device and sweeping through the one or more beams in the sequence of beams for transmissions to or from the second wireless communications device between beamforming training procedures performed with the second wireless communications device.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications and, more particularly, multi-link PDCCH monitoring. A UE may receive signaling configuring it to operate in at least one of a set of different modes of monitoring beam-pair links, wherein each beam-pair link comprises a transmit beam configured to be used by a base station (BS) for beamformed transmissions and a corresponding receive beam used by the UE. The UE may monitor at least two or more beam-pair links for downlink control channel transmissions based, at least in part, on the received signaling, and may transmit feedback to the BS based, at least in part, on the monitored beam-pair links.

Abstract: A configurable new radio (NR) resource scheduling and indication transmission procedure that may be executed by a base station and a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. For example, a base station may determine a number of synchronization signal blocks available for transmission of non-scheduling data, and transmit an indication signifying at least one of the number of synchronization signal blocks or a location of each of the number of synchronization signal blocks. Further, a UE may receiving an indication signifying at least one of a number of synchronization signal blocks or a location of each of the number of synchronization signal blocks. The UE may further determine one or more resource elements forming the number of synchronization signal blocks where non-scheduling data has been scheduled for transmission. The UE may receive the non-scheduling data within the one or more resource elements forming the number of synchronization signal blocks.

Additionally, in another example, a method for wireless communications at a base station is provided. The method includes performing a rate matching at the base station based at least on a numerology which is known at the base station. The rate matching is performed for decoding the signal received from a user equipment.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of beam switching are presented. A beam switch message (BSM) is transmitted to a second device via a first beam set. The BSM includes a command to switch from communication via the first beam set to communication via a second beam set at a switch time. A response message is received from the second device via the first beam set. The response message indicates that the second device received the BSM. A communication is sent to the second device via the second beam set after the switch time if the response message is received.
