Most of these compounds are new.
Abstract:
A method of producing reduced iron and light oil from iron ore and heavy oil which comprises a thermal cracking step of subjecting heavy oil to thermal cracking while retaining iron ore particles in a fluidized state to produce light oil and simultaneously to deposit coke as by-product on the surface of the iron ore particles; a gasification step of putting the coke-deposited ore in contact with an oxidizing gas including steam and oxygen in a fluidized state to react the coke with the gas thereby to produce a reducing gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide and of heating the coke-deposited ore upward of a reduction temperature of iron ore by partial oxidization of the coke; and a reduction step of reducing the coke-deposited iron ore in a fluidized state by the reducing gas to produce reduced iron. When the gasification step is performed by an oxidizing gas containing a majority of steam and up to 15 vol. %, based on the steam, of oxygen at 800.degree.-1000.degree. C. under a pressure of 0-10 kg/cm.sup.2 G, a reducing gas containing high-concentration hydrogen gas is obtained.
Abstract:
The foamed electric wire with a conductor and a foamed insulation layer covering the conductor; the foamed insulation layer is obtained by kneading a base resin composed of a high melting point propylene-based resin having a melting point of 150° C. or higher with a master batch containing a thermally decomposing chemical foaming agent and a low melting point propylene-based resin having a melting point of 135° C. or lower and melting the low melting point propylene-based resin followed by foaming by inducing thermal decomposition of the thermally decomposing chemical foaming agent, and a compounding ratio of the low melting point propylene-based resin in the entire resin component formed of the high melting point propylene-based resin and the low melting point propylene-based resin is less than 20% by mass.
Abstract:
A liquid pressure generating apparatus including a pump, and two one-way clutches arranged coaxially with the pump drive shaft in a line in the axial direction on the side of a first axial direction. The pump case includes a projecting portion projecting from the corresponding pump case. Inner races of the respective two one-way clutches are integrated with each other and form a common inner race. Outer races of the respective two one-way clutches are formed independently from each other and are driven respectively by pump driving members different from each other, and directions of restricted relative rotation with respect to the common inner race are identical to each other. The common inner race includes a coupling portion to be coupled to the pump driving shaft on the side of the first axial direction with respect to the projecting portion.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sheet for corneal transplants comprising corneal endothelial cells on a gelatin hydrogel, which is obtainable by seeding and culturing corneal endothelial cells on a gelatin hydrogel coated with collagen. The sheet of the present invention is extremely useful as a sheet for corneal transplants not only for its biocompatibility and biodegradability, but also for its high transparency.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a vehicle-mounted electronic device provided with an input unit which designates a destination, an incident-prone area storage unit in which incident-prone area data is stored, a report unit, and a control unit, wherein incident occurrence rates in a plurality of time zones in each of areas or incident occurrence rates in a plurality of time zones in each of facilities within each of the areas are stored in the incident-prone area storage unit, and the control unit calculates the predicted time of arrival at the designated destination, and when detecting that the incident occurrence rate in the area in which the destination is located or the incident occurrence rate in the destination is a preset predetermined value or more in a time zone of a predetermined time period later than the calculated predicted time, causes the report unit to make a report.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a moving image and audio reproduction device includes an extraction block which extracts a composition of an Elementary Stream in an Audio Stream included in content and a setting shown in the Elementary Stream, and a signal processing part which reproduces the Audio Stream in accordance with the composition of the Elementary Stream in the Audio Stream and the setting shown in the Elementary Stream, extracted by the extraction block.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a blast-furnace operation method which comprises selecting three factors, i.e. the oxygen volume in blast, the ore/coke and the reducibility of the burden materials as control factors from among these which participate in the variation of heat input and heat output of blast furnace, plotting values of these three factors obtained from the practical operation of efficient blast furnaces on a graph consisting of three parallel axes indicating the three factors, evaluating the conditions of furnace heat with reference to a balanced state of the three plotted factors and adjusting one or more of the three factors in the furnace so all will lie within a suitable range thereby balancing the furnace heat.
Abstract:
A vessel provided with a hold for transporting a cargo of slurry, such as pulverized iron ore and water, is provided with vacuum dewatering means and a device for monitoring the progress of consolidation of the solid particles. When vibration or other motion of the vessel tends to increase the rate of consolidation, the vacuum dewatering means is operated to lower the rate, so that when the vessel reaches its destination, the cargo may be more easily unloaded. A particular design of slurry/supernatant liquid interface level detector is described.
