Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for controlling transmission control protocol (TCP) send buffers in communication systems are provided. The method includes identifying a current round-trip time (RTT) value and a minimum RTT value in the TCP and adjusting a size of the send buffer based on at least one of a current operation, the current RTT value, and the minimum RTT value in a congestion control scheme according to the TCP.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and device for setting a selective source IP address. The method for setting a source IP address of a terminal comprises the steps of: receiving an allocation of a plurality of IP addresses from at least one network node; acquiring information on the property of at least one IP address among the plurality of IP addresses; and selecting the source IP address for a flow of the terminal from the plurality of IP addresses on the basis of attribute information of at least one IP address, wherein the attribute information of the IP address can include information on a flow for recommending the use of a corresponding IP address and/or information on a flow for prohibiting the use of the corresponding IP address.
Abstract:
A method for providing a service by a transparent internet cache (TIC) server in a communication network supporting a multipath transport control protocol (MPTCP) is provided. The method includes establishing an MPTCP connection with a user equipment (UE) and an original server through a first network, upon receiving a service provision request from the UE, releasing the MPTCP connection established among the TIC server, the UE, and the original server if data related to a service corresponding to the service provision request is cached, and providing the service corresponding to the service provision request to the UE.
Abstract:
A method for receiving data in a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile content network is provided. The method includes transmitting a request message, which requests a content, to a first Digital Unit (DU), receiving an Internet Protocol (IP)_ADD message, including information of a second DU which caches the content, from the first DU, updating a Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) connection according to the information of the second DU included in the IP_ADD message, and receiving data from the second DU using the updated SCTP connection.
Abstract:
A method for routing data by a Corresponding Mobility Agent (CMA) in a mobile communication system is provided. The method includes managing mobility for a Mobile Station (MS) with a Mobile Access Gateway (MAG), and routing a data packet between a Corresponding Node (CN) and the MS based on a location of the MS, wherein the CMA is mapped to an application server which provides an application service.
Abstract:
A method for scheduling data by a new master Base Station (BS) in a cloud cell communication system is provided. The method includes detecting that a master BS for a specific Mobile Station (MS) is changed from an old master BS to a new master BS, before a tunnel which is established between the new master BS and an access gateway is activated, receiving MS data which the old master BS receives through the tunnel which is established between the old master BS and the access gateway and buffers from the old master BS, and scheduling the received MS data.
Abstract:
A method for performing a network entry procedure by a Mobile Station (MS) in a cloud cell communication system is provided. The method includes determining whether there is an arbitrary cloud cell member candidate Base Station (BS) as a cloud cell member candidate BS which has transmitted a downlink synchronization signal with a signal strength, if there is the arbitrary cloud cell member candidate BS, determining the arbitrary cloud cell member candidate BS as a final cloud cell member candidate BS which will perform a cooperative communication with the master BS, transmitting an access request message including information on the final cloud cell member candidate BS to the master BS, and receiving an access response message including information on a cloud cell member BS from the master BS.
Abstract:
A method for detecting a section where congestion occurs in a data transmission path by a user equipment (UE) comprises receiving a first probe packet, receiving a second probe packet, measuring an interval in time of reception between the first probe packet and the second probe packet, determining whether the measured time interval exceeds a threshold, and determining whether a bottleneck occurs using a result of the determination and information contained in the probe packets, wherein the information contained in the probe packets is information about the time interval between the probe packets and transmission rates of load packets.
Abstract:
A method of a base station (BS) in a mobile communication system to support an idle mode in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes performing a negotiation procedure for idle mode entry of a mobile station (MS), with the MS, determining whether to operate as a paging controller for the idle mode MS, detecting a packet destined for the MS, and transmitting a message notifying existence of the packet destined for the MS, to at least one other BS in a paging zone of the BS.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for anchoring of a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method for anchoring the terminal in the wireless communication system may include receiving attribute information indicating whether at least one gateway operating as an anchor for at least one default Packet Data Network (PDN) connection supports session persistence, detecting a new flow generated by an application, determining whether a further PDN connection is required for the flow on the basis of the attribute information indicating whether at least one gateway supports session persistence, and if no further PDN connection is required for the flow, using an Internet Protocol (IP) address allocated by the at least one gateway as a source IP address of the flow.
