Abstract: A method and system for handling both voice and non-voice calls in a CSFB scenario is disclosed. An indication is provided to user equipment (UE) to indicate whether the CSFB call is a voice call or a non-voice call (CS data call). The indication can be provided to the UE by a wireless network in a RRC connection release message or a CS service notification message. Further, the UE upon receiving the indication from the network can indicate whether the CSFB call is a voice call or a data call to a target radio access network (RAN) by providing a priority bit indication to all the voice calls for differentiating the voice calls from non-voice calls. The RAN prioritizes all the voice calls ahead of non-voice calls for the UE in the CSFB scenario.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A handover method of a terminal in a mobile communication system according to the present disclosure includes transmitting UE capability information including a random access-free handover indicator to a first base station, receiving a handover command message from the first base station, and transmitting, when the handover command message includes uplink resource information, a handover complete message to a second base station based on the uplink resource information.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, suggested art a method for reporting a power headroom report (hereinafter, PHR) of a terminal and an apparatus of the terminal, the method comprising the steps of: determining whether the terminal is operated in dynamic time division multiple access (hereinafter, TDD, time division duplexer) mode; determining whether the terminal receives service from a plurality of serving cells, when it is determined that the terminal is operated in dynamic TDD mode; determining a power headroom type (hereinafter, PH type) on the basis of a radio resource control (hereinafter, RRC) message and downlink control information (DCI) received from a base station, when it is determined that the terminal receives a service from the plurality of serving cells; and transmitting information about the determined PH type using an extended PHR format. In addition, suggested are a method for receiving a PHR by a base station and a base station apparatus capable of setting a TDD mode in the terminal and receiving the PHR from the terminal.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a transmission of a random access in a specific cell from a plurality of serving cells in a mobile communication system using a carrier aggregation technology, and a method for efficiently transmitting uplink channels other than the random access in another cell. In particular, the method for a terminal to transmit an uplink channel to a base station comprises the steps of: confirming whether an uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe transmitting a Random Access Preamble for the first carrier; if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for the transmission of the random access preamble and the electric power required for the transmission of the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal; and, if exceeding, transmitting the random access preamble preferentially before the uplink channel. In addition, the terminal for transmitting an uplink channel to a base station comprises: a transmitter/receiver for transmitting/receiving a signal to/from the base station; and a control unit for confirming whether the uplink channel for a second carrier having an uplink timing different from a first carrier is included in a subframe for transmitting a random access preamble for the first carrier, and if included, confirming whether the sum of the electric power required for transmitting the Random Access Preamble and the electric power required for transmitting the uplink channel exceeds the maximum transmission electric power of the terminal, and if exceeding, controlling the transmission so that the random access preamble is preferentially transmitted before the uplink channel.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus in which a terminal performs contention-based access in a mobile communication system, wherein the method comprises: a sensing step of sensing whether or not contention-based access is allowed for at least one logical channel; a receiving step of receiving a contention-based reverse grant from a base station; and a transmitting step of transmitting data to the base station through the logical channel for which the contention-based access is allowed. According to the present invention, contention-based access can be efficiently performed, and the reliability of transmission can be ensured.
