    摘要: Process for the preparation of a phenol resin modified with a liquid polybutadiene which comprises reacting a polybutadiene having a number average molecular weight of 150 to 5,000 with a phenol in the presence of an acid catalyst to obtain a composition which consists of a polybutadiene-phenol adduct and unreacted phenol, in said polybutadiene-phenol adduct, one molecule of phenol per 3 to 8 butadiene units being added to the polybutadiene, and reacting the composition of a polybutadiene-phenol adduct with a formaldehyde in the presence of a basic catalyst, said basic catalyst comprising a primary amine of the formula: R--NH.sub.2 wherein R is a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms in an amount of 0.01 to 0.5 mole per 1 mole of the phenol used for the preparation of the composition which is used alone or in combination thereof with other basic compound. Said resin composition thus prepared is useful for the preparation of a laminated sheet having excellent curing characteristics, particularly excellent electrical characteristics, punchability and flexibility.

    摘要: A process of producing glycidyl ethers of monohydric or polyhydric phenols is disclosed, which comprises mixing a monohydric or polyhydric phenol, dioxane or diethoxyethane, and epichlorohydrin; adding to the mixture an aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide and subjecting to azeotropic distillation water, dioxane or diethoxyethane, and epichlorohydrin, followed by liquefaction of the distillate to be divided into an aqueous layer and an organic layer, and circulating the organic layer to the mixture whereas eliminating the aqueous layer. According to this process, the content of hydrolyzable chlorine which cannot be removed in a subsequent purification step is minimized and the phenol glycidyl ethers thus obtained are well suited for the use of sealing materials for integrated circuits.

    摘要: A process for preparing reactive polymers and polymers prepared by the foregoing process are disclosed. This process comprises polymerizing a monomer comprising at least one isopropenylphenyl glycidyl ether represented by formula (1): ##STR1## wherein all the symbols are defined in the appended claims, or in combination with at least one other unsaturated monomer, by the use of a catalyst selected from halogens and hydrogen iodide. The reactive polymer prepared by the above process is represented by the general formula (2): ##STR2## wherein all the symbols are defined in the appended claims, and has a number average molecular weight of 500 to 50,000.
