    Abstract: An image processing apparatus sequentially displays time-series images. The apparatus includes a movement-direction-change image extracting unit that detects a movement between images constituting the time-series images and extracts an image of which a movement direction is changed based on the detected movement between images; and a display speed controller that controls display speeds of the image extracted by the movement-direction-change image extracting unit and images adjacent to the image at a level relatively lower than display speeds of other images.

    Abstract: An agitation apparatus (100) has a substantially cylindrically shaped agitation vessel (102); a rotation shaft (150) provided along the central axis of the agitation vessel (102); a substantially cylindrically shaped agitation member (104) having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the agitation vessel (102) and being fitted to the rotation shaft (150) so as to rotate concentrically with an inner circumferential surface of the agitation vessel (102); and a plurality of through holes (162, 164) formed through the agitation member (104) in radial directions of the agitation member. In the agitation apparatus (100), a gap between the inner circumferential surface of the agitation vessel (102) and the outer circumferential surface of the agitation member (104) is partially varied along a vertical direction of the agitation member (104). For example, the gap between the inner circumferential surface of the agitation vessel (102) and the outer circumferential surface of the agitation member (104) is wider at a lower portion (S2) of the agitation member (104) than at an upper portion (S1) of the agitation member (104).

    Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a distance information calculator that calculates distance information corresponding to a distance to an imaging object at each of portions in an image; a feature data calculator that calculates feature data at each portion in the image; a feature data distribution calculator that calculates a distribution of the feature data in each of regions that are classified according to the distance information in the image; a reliability determining unit that determines the reliability of the distribution of the feature data in each of the regions; and a discrimination criterion generator that generates, for each of the regions, a discrimination criterion for discriminating a specific region in the image based on a determination result of the reliability and the distribution of the feature data in each of the regions.
