摘要: A retaining structure for a webbing retained by a seat of a vehicle enables the tension which acts on the webbing to be transmitted to the body of the vehicle so as to be carried thereby. The tension acting on the webbing is carried by the seat and also by a retaining flexible continuous member which is retained by the vehicle body and to which the webbing tension is transmitted. Accordingly, the tension which acts on the webbing when an emergency situation of the vehicle occurs can reliably be transmitted to the vehicle body so as to be carried thereby.

摘要: A bicycle rim is basically provided with an annular metallic rim member and a reinforcing member. The annular metallic rim member includes a plurality of spoke attachment areas with at least one spoke attachment opening in each of the spoke attachment areas. The reinforcing member overlies an exterior surface of the annular metallic rim member. The reinforcing member includes a plurality of spoke attachment sections individually arranged in a circumferential direction to overlie the spoke attachment openings. The spoke attachment sections include a plurality of discrete first reinforcing parts and a plurality of discrete second reinforcing parts. The first reinforcing parts are attached to the spoke attachment areas around the spoke attachment openings. The second reinforcing parts are attached to the spoke attachment areas to overlie the first reinforcing parts, with the second reinforcing parts being larger than the first reinforcing parts.

摘要: A bicycle hub has an axle and a hub shell rotatably disposed about the axle with a plurality of spoke fixing parts disposed at opposite ends of the hub shell. Each of the spoke fixing parts has a through hole having a small width section extending from a first side of a corresponding one of the spoke fixing parts and a large width section extending from a second side of the corresponding one of the spoke fixing parts such that an internal abutment is formed between the small and large width sections. The securing elements are removably disposed in the large width sections of the spoke fixing parts of the hub shell with each of the securing elements having a threaded bore that is aligned with and substantially equal to the small width sections of the spoke fixing parts of the hub shell.

摘要: A bicycle pedal has a body with at least one pair of clamping members that are pivotally coupled to the pedal body. The rear clamping member has an elongated tongue extending past the pedal body end to allow the rider to rotate the pedal. Each clamping member has a cleat engagement surface with the front cleat engagement surface being radially spaced from its pivot axis by a distance that is less than the radially spacing of the rear cleat engagement surface being spaced from its pivot axis. The rear clamping member pivots through a predetermined angle that is larger than the predetermined angle of pivot of the front clamping member for easy entry of the cleat. Each clamping member has a cleat stop surface with the front cleat stop surface being spaced farther from the center rotational axis than the rear cleat stop surface for easy entry of the cleat.

摘要: A bicycle wheel basically has a hub, a plurality of spokes extending outwardly from the hub and an annular rim coupled to the outer ends of the spokes for supporting a tire. The annular rim has a spoke attachment portion with a plurality of openings for receiving the outer ends of the spokes therein. The openings of the annular rim have reinforcement members or washers located between the spokes and annular rim. The outer ends of the spokes have bent sections located within the spoke holes of the reinforcement members or washers and head section that engage the inner surface of the reinforcement members or washers. The rim is provided with a reinforcing rib or bend above each of the spoke holes. The reinforcing rib or bend can be continuous or discontinuous. The spoke attachment portions of the rim are divided into an outer circumferential section, a middle circumferential section with the spoke openings formed therein and an inner circumferential section. At least parts of the middle circumferential sections of the spoke attachment portions have a first predetermined wall thickness located above and below the spoke openings. The first predetermined wall thicknesses of these parts are greater than a second predetermined wall thickness of the inner circumferential sections of the spoke attachment portions.

The annular rim has a spoke attachment portion with a plurality of openings for receiving the outer ends of the spokes therein. The outer ends of the spokes are bent such that first sections of the spokes are offset from sections of the spokes. These bends are positioned in the openings of the rims to retain the outer ends of the spokes in the openings of the rim. Optionally, an adhesive may be used to more securely retain the outer ends of the spokes in the openings of the rim. In certain embodiments, the spoke attachment portion of the rim can be constructed of individually spaced elements which can be either fastened to the rim or unitary part of the rim.

摘要: To provide a steering wheel which is lightweight, and which has adequate strength and shock resistance, a carbon fiber prepreg 13 is wound on a mandrel 11 or a lightweight foam core 40 so as to obtain a preformer 14. By heating this preformer 14 in a mold 18, a steering wheel is obtained wherein the rim is formed from a fiber-reinforced synthetic resin joined to a metal skeleton 23.
