The alignment device (10) includes a mounting mechanism (24) supported by a prosthetic socket (28), a prosthetic limb (12) operatively connected to the mounting mechanism (24), and an extendable and retractable positioning mechanism (84) operatively connected to the mounting mechanism (24) and the prosthetic limb (12). The prosthetic limb (12) is adapted to move angularly in the anterior-posterior plane upon extension or retraction of the positioning mechanism (84). A hinge connection (606, 610) may be provided between the prosthetic limb (12) and the mounting mechanism (602) to permit the prosthetic limb (12) to rotate about a hinge axis extending through the hinge connection (606, 610). Methods for aligning a prosthetic limb are also disclosed.

    摘要: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing continuous a glass fiber strand. The process consists in depositing on the glass filaments which are in the process of being drawn a sizing composition consisting of a solution of which the solvent content is less than 5 wt %, the solution comprising a mixture of constituents which can be polymerized and/or crosslinked by heat treatment, at least 60 wt % of the constituents being constituents of which the molecular weight (Mw) is less than 750, less than 10 weight % being film-forming agents and 0 to 25 weight % being coupling agents, lubricants, stabilizers and initiators and/or catalysts, it being possible if necessary for the agent to be polymerized and/or crosslinked by heat treatment, in winding the strand or strands, formed by collection of the filaments, on a rotating support so as to form a wound package consisting of turns of strand coated with a non-polymerized sizing composition. The strands are intended to reinforce thermoplastic or thermosetting organic substrates or substances of mineral origin.

    摘要: The present invention provides a laminate material having a polyester film and a web of polyester fibers cohesively bonded directly thereto, such that portions of the fibers are bonded to the polyester film and portions of die fibers are free from the polyester film. The invention may also include a glass reinforced polymer layer formed on the laminated facer where the polymer of the glass reinforced polymer layer is commingled with the nonwoven of the laminated facer. The laminate may further include a second polymer layer having a thickness joined to the fiber layer and/or a layer of hot melt adhesive applied to the poly ester fibers. Also presented is a composite material having a polyester film, a layer of polyester fibers bonded to the second polymer layer; a second polymer layer joined to the polyester film; and a glass reinforced polymer layer formed on the laminated facer, where the polymer of the as reinforced polymer layer is commingled with the nonwoven of the laminated facer.

    摘要: A composite board with a multilayer laminated facer is presented having a nonwoven, a first polymer layer, and a second polymer layer. The laminate may be printed on the nonwoven, on the upper surface of the first polymer layer or inverted printed on the backside of an applied film. A number of configurations for the polymer layers are disclosed. The laminate may include exposed fibers on the lower surface or the nonwoven may be saturated. A removable peel-ply may be included. By controlling the placement and thickness of the polymer layers it is possible to tailor additive in the polymers such as colorants, opacifiers, UV stabilizers, and fire retardants to improve quality and reduce costs. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, a first polymer layer is applied to the topside of the nonwoven and the second polymer is laminated to the first polymer layer as a preformed film. The laminated facer is thermally or adhesively bonded to the composite board.

The device includes a display mechanism, a navigation database, including a navigation record with a navigation description, and an action database, including an action record with an action description. The action database is customizable. A display driver displays the navigation description. When the navigation description is selected, the display driver displays the action description. When the action description is selected, a digital synchronization system generates an extra action request (EAR) record that includes an action identifier and action data for storage in an EAR database. When the device is synchronized with a computer, a synchronization manager accesses the EAR database and updates the action database with any new action records.

    摘要: The present invention includes apparatuses and methods comprising a means for detecting the presence of speakers and microphones coupled to a portable multi-function device (such as Apple's iPhone™). In response, a portable multi-function device can adapt its output depending on the nature of the coupled headset device. In particular, a portable multi-function device containing the present invention can, upon detecting only one speaker in a coupled headset accessory device, combine the multiple channels of a stereo audio signal into a single mono audio signal. Likewise, a portable multi-function device containing the present invention can alert users to the absence of a coupled microphone.

    摘要: A single prong, multiple signal conducting plug and plug detection circuitry is provided. The plug may be electrically coupled to a stereo headset including a microphone. The plug may include four signal conducting regions arranged in a predetermined order along the length of the prong. Detection circuitry may be operative to determine whether a microphone type of plug (e.g., a four region plug including a microphone region and two audio regions, or a three region plug including microphone region and only one audio region) or a non-microphone type of plug (e.g., stereo plug) is inserted into the jack of an electronic device (e.g., mobile phone). Detection circuitry may also detect user activated functions performed in response to user activation of one or more switches included with the headset. For example, the headset may include a single switch for performing a function with respect to a microphone (e.g., end-call function).
