The at least one controller is configured to activate one or more of the antenna circuits to generate at least one resonance signal field configured to interrogate at least one tag associated with the one or more active antenna circuits while substantially preventing or reducing cross-coupling of signals between the one or more active antenna circuits and at least one antenna circuit within the at least one resonance signal field to a sufficiently low level, wherein the sufficiently low level substantially prevents misreads from unwanted tags, to thereby track the multiple tags in a substantially controlled manner.

    摘要: An electronic device includes an enclosure for the electronic device and a duct extending from an interior to an exterior of the enclosure to exhaust airflow from the enclosure. The electronic device further includes an active noise control mechanism. The active noise control mechanism includes an internal sensor, an external sensor, and an acoustic wave generator. The internal sensor is arranged within the enclosure to sense a noise and generate an internal sensor output, and the external sensor is arranged outside of the enclosure to detect sounds and generate an external sensor output. Based on the internal sensor output and the external sensor output, the acoustic wave generator generates an acoustic wave within the duct to reduce the noise.

    摘要: A method by which one node can search for and retrieve information from another node. A message identifying the sought-for information item and an address is created at a first node. The address identifies a repository for the sought-for information. A second node receives the contents of this message and responds with the information item if the item is available. Otherwise, the second node propagates the message to other nodes. The message is propagated from node to node until it reaches a node having the sought-for information item. If this node can connect to the specified address, it sends the information item to the repository. Otherwise, the node adds the information item to the message, which is propagated to other nodes until the message reaches a node that can connect with the address. The information item can then be retrieved from the repository.

    摘要: An apparatus for capturing images and barcodes. The apparatus has an image-sensing device and a lens having a variable-focal-length region and a substantially fixed-focal-length region. The variable-focal-length region focuses light onto a first region of the image-sensing device and the substantially fixed-focal-length region focuses light onto a second region of the image-sensing device. The variable-focal-length region varies such that different portions of that region of the lens focus objects at different distances from the lens in different areas of the first region of the image-sensing device. Thus, the device is able to focus, in the first region of the image-sensing device, objects at varying distances from the apparatus.

In one aspect, a method of manufacturing is provided that includes coupling a first member to a circuit board where the first member has a first opening with a first internal footprint. A heat exchanger is removably coupled to the first member to transfer heat from at least one component of the circuit board. The heat exchanger has an external footprint adapted so that at least a portion of the heat exchanger fits in the first opening. A plate is coupled to the circuit board to transfer heat from at least one component of the circuit board. A fluid supply line and a fluid return line are coupled to the heat exchanger such that one of the fluid supply line and the fluid return line is thermal contact with the plate to transfer heat therefrom.
