    Abstract: Various embodiments described herein provide multi-projector (i.e., two or more) imaging apparatuses utilizing integrated illumination-aimer optics. Embodiments of the present disclosure minimize irreparable component offset to improve overall accuracy associated with the functioning of the apparatuses. Additionally, the integrated illumination-aimer optics enables embodiments disclosed herein to be provided in a significantly smaller form factor than conventional multi-projector imaging apparatuses. An example apparatus includes a near-field imaging lens and a far-field imaging lens, an integrated illumination-aimer optics positioned between the near-field imaging lens and the far-field imaging lens, a near-field illuminator source and a far-field illuminator source positioned for projecting via the integrated illumination-aimer optics, a near-field imaging sensor associated with the near-field imaging lens, a far-field imaging sensor associated with the far-field imaging lens, and an apparatus chassis to align the various components for operation.

    Abstract: A method for testing wireless tags by a testing unit, comprising: transmitting a signal to energize a plurality of wireless tags within a testing area of the testing unit substantially simultaneously; waiting a prescribed amount of time sufficient to allow all of the wireless tags in the testing area an opportunity to respond with a transmitted message, each transmitted message including a unique identifier of the wireless tag; determining, based on information as to the identity of which wireless tags are in the testing area and receipt, if any, by the tester of the transmitted messages containing respective unique identifiers from the wireless tags in the testing area, which of the plurality of wireless tags are good and which of the plurality of wireless tags are bad.

    Abstract: Provided is a card reader capable of preventing the illegitimate acquisition of data from the card reader even when a criminal attempts to obtain data illegitimately from the card reader without removing the card reader from a host device. This card reader is equipped with a data signal pattern for reporting signals of data read from a card or for reporting signals of data recorded on the card, and a failure detection pattern for detecting that the card reader has undergone a wire disconnection or has short-circuited. The data signal pattern is arranged in a protected region D, which is a region surrounded on all sides by the failure detection pattern.
