摘要: A direct polycondensation method for medical biodegradable polylactic acid (PLA). The invention uses commercialized creatinine (a type of biomaterial organic guanidine compounds—the arginine metabolite creatinine in human body) as the catalyst and industrial lactic acid (mass content 85-90%, aqueous solution) as the monomer to synthesize the PLA in terms of second polycondensation without solvent. Instead of tin catalysts having cytotoxicity, the catalyst used in the invention has high biocompatibility and biosafety. The synthesized PLA does not contain any metal and other toxic components; therefore, it can be used as the carrier for targeting drugs and controlled release drugs. The green catalyst and green processing method (no solvent applied and no toxic products produced) are used to synthesize the green biodegradable PLA with high biosafety. The molecular weight distribution for all synthesized products is narrow and the molecular weight is controllable within 1.5-3.0×104.

摘要: The present invention provides a slurry catalyst and a method for preparing the same, and belongs to the technical field of preparing catalyst. Particularly, the present invention provides a slurry catalyst directly used in a slurry bed reactor for synthesizing methanol and dimethyl ether and a method for preparing the same, which uses the complete liquid phase preparation from solution to slurry without the conventional slurry-producing process of firstly forming a solid catalyst and dispersing it into an inert medium after crushing and milling. This catalyst mainly comprises Cu, Zn, Al and Zr, wherein atomic ratios of each of components are Cu/Zn/(Al+Zr)=1/0.1-5/0.15-15 and Zr/Al=1:1.0-1:30, and one or two selected from the group consisting of lanthanide metals, Mn, Mo, Si, V, W, Cr, Mg, Ni, K, Pd, Rh, Ru, Re, Pt and Sr is used a promoter. The catalyst prepared in the present invention has the advantages of good stability, high selectivity of alcohol and ether, good rheological behavior and strong wear resistance.

摘要: A computer input device includes a light source assembly forming an incident light beam that strikes an area on a surface beneath the input device with large incident angle. A light sensing assembly in the input device is positioned to receive scattered light and includes a band-pass filter. A barrier is located directly above the area where the light beam is incident on the top surface to prevent light from traveling directly from the light source assembly to the light sensing assembly.

摘要: Displaying a web page on a display device is accomplished by receiving resolution information corresponding to a resolution of the display device, receiving a resolution threshold for displaying a widget element on the web page, and determining whether the resolution of the display device is less than the resolution threshold for displaying the widget element. If the resolution of the display device is not less than the resolution threshold for displaying the widget element, the widget element is displayed on the web page, wherein the web page is displayed on the display device. If the resolution of the display device is smaller than the resolution threshold for displaying the widget element, the widget element is not displayed on the web page.

摘要: A mechanism is provided for minimizing power consumption for operation of a fixed-frequency processing unit. A number of timeslots are counted in a time window where throttling is engaged to the fixed-frequency processing unit. The number of timeslots where throttling is engaged is divided by a total number of timeslots within the time window, thereby producing a performance loss (PLOSS) value. A determination is made as to whether determining whether the (PLOSS) value associated with the fixed-frequency processing unit is greater than an allowed performance loss (APLOSS) value. Responsive to the PLOSS value being less than or equal to the APLOSS value, a decrease in voltage supplied to the fixed-frequency processing unit is initiated.

摘要: A mechanism is provided for minimizing system power in a data processing system. A management control unit determines whether a convergence has been reached in the data processing system. If convergence fails to be reached, the management control unit determines whether a maximum fan flag is set to indicate that a fan is operating at a maximum speed. Responsive to the maximum fan flag failing to be set, a thermal threshold of the data processing system is either increased or decreased and thereby a fan speed of the data processing system is either increased or decreased based on whether the system power of the data processing system has either increased or decreased and based on whether a temperature of the data processing system has either increased or decreased. Thus, a new thermal threshold and a new fan speed are formed. The process is then repeated until convergence has been met.

摘要: A method for increasing a capacity of a memory is provided in the illustrative embodiments. Using an application executing using a processor wherein the memory includes a set of ranks, the memory is configured to form a cold tier and a hot tier, the cold tier including a first subset of ranks from the set of ranks in the memory, and the hot tier including a second subset of ranks from the set of ranks in the memory. A determination is made whether a page to which a memory access request is directed is located in the cold tier in the memory. In response to the page being located in the cold tier of the memory, the processing of the memory access request is throttled by processing the memory access request with a delay.
