摘要: Rake receivers in code division multiple access (CDMA) telecommunication comprise fingers (1,2,3) with each finger processing signal components for a particular transmission path to be able to better synchronize with a RF signal received via different paths, and a combiner (4) for combining the results originating from said fingers, and a compensator in the form of a controlled oscillator in a feedback loop. By locating a finger compensator (20-25) in a finger, said finger can handle complex situations, like Doppler shifts under high-speed conditions. Preferably, most or all fingers each comprise such a finger compensator, in which case said feedback loop can be avoided. Such a finger compensator can be hardware, software or a mixture of both when comprising a filter (21) plus an amplitude normalizer (22) between two arithmetical modules (20,25) for multiplying an input symbol signal with a conjugated previous input symbol signal and an output symbol signal with a previous output symbol signal.

摘要: An antenna assembly has a plurality of conductive elements to enable use in multiple frequency bands assigned for a mobile wireless communications. The antenna assembly has a six-sided support frame non-electrically conductive material which provides external surfaces on which specific conductive patterns are formed with the patterns on different surface being selectively connected together. The support frame is mounted on one major surface of a dielectric substrate that has an opposite major surface with a conductive layer that serves as ground plane. A portion of the opposite major surface, on which the conductive layer is not applied, forms one surface of the support frame.

摘要: Relay nodes relay data from a source node (110) to a destination node (130) in an asynchronous cooperative wireless communication system. Each relay node (120) includes a serial-to-parallel partitioner (212), a row selector (214), a cyclic shifter (216) and an SCBT modulator (218). The serial-to-parallel partitioner partitions symbols corresponding to received information into parallel blocks. The row selector selects one row of a coding matrix for each of the parallel blocks and constructs symbol blocks corresponding to the parallel blocks based on the selected row. The cyclic shifter shifts a cyclic delay of each of the symbol blocks and generates shifted symbol blocks corresponding to the symbol blocks. The SCBT modulator pads a guard interval to each shifted symbol block to remove the effects of asynchronous relay transmission. Constructing the symbol blocks and generating the shifted symbol blocks provides virtual spatial diversity among the relay nodes, which varies directly with a number of participating relay nodes.
