摘要： A resin composition comprising(I) a granular or powdery resin which is a condensation product of a phenol, an aldehyde and optionally a nitrogen-containing compound having at least two active hydrogens and is characterized by (A) containing spherical primary particles and their secondary agglomerated particles each having a particle diameter of 0.1 to 150 microns, (B) having such a size that at least 50% by weight thereof can pass through a 100 Tyler mesh sieve, and (C) having a free phenol content, determined by liquid chromatography, of not more than 500 ppm, and(II) at least one member selected from the group consisting of (1) a rubbery elastic material, (2) a thermoplastic resin and (3) a curable reisn other than said granular or powdery resin (I) and/or a filler material other than said granular or powdery resin (I).

摘要： This invention relates to a cured novolak fiber-reinforced, chlorinated rubber molded article having excellent flameproofness, the main components of which are(A) fibers or a fibrous structure containing at least 50 weight % of cured novolak fibers and(B) a rubber composition consisting mainly of chlorinated rubber as a rubber component,the content of said fibers or fibrous structure being 2-80% by weight; and a process for the preparation of said article comprising adhering an organic solvent solution or dispersion of the rubber composition (B) to the fibers or the fibrous structure (A) or impregnating the fibers or fibrous structure with said solution or dispersion, or mixing the fibers with the rubber composition (B), and without any further processing, or during or after the pressing or molding, vulcanizing said chlorinated rubber composition at a temperature of 100.degree.-200.degree. C.

摘要： A reflective liquid crystal display device combined with an optical system with a wire grid is provided for light modulation by a liquid crystal layer. This layer, made of nematic liquid crystal having negative dielectric anisotropy, is formed such that first and second orientation directions on first and second substrates are rotated by “60±α” and “60±β” degrees in first and second rotating directions starting from a reference direction, respectively. The first and second rotating directions are mutually opposite, the reference direction is parallel to the first and second substrates and within in an angular range defined by a central angle plus ±5 degrees wherein the central angle is ±45 degrees from an oscillation direction of incident polarized light, and a relationship of |α|+|β|≦10 (α and β are zero or positive integers) is fulfilled.

Instead of the voltage, the period of at least one subfield of the video signal can be adjusted for compensating for change in the gamma characteristics of the liquid-crystal display unit.

摘要： A projection display apparatus comprises a reflective LC display device and a polarizing beam splitter having a polarizing separative plane and wired grids. The LC molecules of the device are aligned such that i) a segment on a second subtracted, produced by projecting a major axis of each LC molecule perpendicularly onto the second substrate, makes an angle of 42 to 48 degrees counterclockwise or counterclockwise in relation to a direction of a straight line on the second substrate, formed by projecting each wire grid perpendicularly onto the second substrate and ii) of both ends of the segment, one end meeting an end of each LC molecule, which is positioned nearer to the second substrate than the other end, is positioned nearer to an intersection at which a plane including the polarizing separative plane and a plane including the second substrate mutually intersects, than the other end of the segment.

The phase difference compensating plate 18 has no anisotropy in a plane parallel direction and a larger refractive index in the plane parallel direction than another refractive index in the thickness direction, and is disposed with being slightly tilted with respect to the reflective liquid crystal element 8. Accordingly, a picture image high in brightness and high in black and white contrast ratio can be projected on the screen 12.

摘要： A thickness of each hologram lens for forming a hologram color filter is set so as to be smaller as the wavelength of light to be diffracted by each hologram lens is shorter. A thin plate glass layer is bonded to a surface of the hologram color filter such that it is in a firm contact therewith by adhesive agent and a sum of the thickness of the thin plate glass layer and thickness of the adhesive agent is smaller than the shortest focal length of the focal lengths in glass of a plurality of the hologram lenses. As a result, light diffracted and divided by the hologram color filter is focused on a picture element electrode of a corresponding color properly thereby eliminating deterioration of color reproduction due to mixing of colors. Further, upon production of the hologram color filter from hologram recording material, an influence of a fringe rotation is compensated.
