摘要: In a vehicle control system that is able to accurately recognize an approaching user, excessive detection operations are suppressed to reduce battery consumption. Control is performed at an optimum timing as desired by a user. The vehicle has a controller for forming a large area, using low power electromagnetic radiation. Within the large area, a large area ID request signal can be received. When a portable transceiver enters the large area and returns a response ID in reply to the large area ID request signal back to the controller of the vehicle, the controller then forms a plurality of small areas in which a small area ID request signal for detailed detection can be received. When it is confirmed that the portable transceiver entered any of the small areas, the controller unlocks the vehicle door associated with that small area, allowing the user to enter the vehicle.

摘要: An electronic filing apparatus has a scanner which successively scans documents, and a memory portion which temporarily stores image information supplied from the scanner, the memory portion having a storage capacity enough to hold the quantity of information from two documents. The apparatus also successively records information from the memory to a disk storage medium, to register a plurality of the documents. The apparatus has respective first and second control means for the scanner and recording portion, so that, as a previously scanned document is written onto the disk storage medium from the memory, a successive document is being scanned and entered into the memory. This arrangement provides fast and efficient storage of successively scanned documents from among a plurality of documents.

摘要: A controller for a storage device is connected to a host system and the storage device. A buffer memory includes first and second storage areas. A timer counts a preset given time in response to an instruction to start counting and sends a deadline notification when A given time is elapsed. A command responding portion, when receiving a read command from the host system, instructs the timer to start counting and thereafter outputs a read instruction to read data from the storage system. A data processing portion, in response to the read instruction by the command responding portion, reads specified data from the storage device and holds the read data in the second storage area of the buffer memory. A read control portion sends the host system the data held in the second storage area of the buffer memory when the deadline notification is received from the timer.
