摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a latent image forming unit in which a light beam scans in a second scan region wider than a first scan region. The light beam is modulated in accordance with an image signal within the range of the first scan region for every scanning cycle and guided onto the effective image region to form a line latent image. A write timing adjuster adjusts a write start position for writing a latent image along the main scanning direction, based on a time difference between a first detection signal output when a first light beam scanning away from the effective image region moves passed an optical sensor, and a second detection signal output when a second light beam scanning toward the effective image region moves passed the optical sensor.

摘要: In a line head, a plurality of element arrays arranged in a first direction. Each array includes a plurality of light emission elements arrayed in a second direction which is perpendicularly to the first direction. The light emission elements emit light for forming an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive surface of an image carrier. A switcher activates the light emission elements in at least one of the element arrays while deactivating tile others. A developer develops the latent Image as a visible image with toner.

摘要: The invention provides an optical write line head comprising multiple rows of light emitter devices lined up corresponding to the respective positive lenses located in array form, wherein even with a fluctuation of its write plane in an optical axis direction, there is none of variations resulting from displacements of light emitting dots. A plurality of light emitter blocks 4, each including at least one row of light emitter devices lined up in a main scan direction, are located at a spacing in the main scan direction to define a light emitter array 1. On the exit side of the light emitter array 1, a lens array 6 comprising one positive lens system 5 in alignment with each light emitter block 4 is located parallel with the light emitter array 1, and a write plane 41 is located parallel on the imaging side of the lens array 6. A stop plate 30 forming an aperture stop 31 is located near a light-gathering position at which parallel light incident from the write plane side on each positive lens system comes together.

摘要: Image data is inputted from a data processing device 23 into storage means 24 formed on a light-emitting element (yellow) line head 28 so that light emitting elements in one line 28a expose pixels on an image carrier in response to output signal from a shift resistor 24a. As the image carrier is moved in the direction of X to bring said pixels to reach the position corresponding to light emitting elements in the next line 28b, the image data is transmitted to a shift resistor 24b so that the shift resistor 24b outputs the image data to light emitting elements in the line 28b, whereby the pixels are exposed to light again. The movement of the image carrier and the transmission of the image data to the respective shift resistors are sequentially conducted, thereby conducting multiple exposure of each same pixel.

摘要: An image forming method which generates a video signal corresponding to an image forming command based on a video clock signal, modulates a light beam according to the video signal, and scans the modulated light beam along a main scanning direction by means of an oscillation mirror which resonates based on a drive signal, so as to form a latent image in an effective image region of a latent image carrier, the method includes: synchronizing the drive signal with the video clock signal to synchronize a detection signal with the vide clock signal, the detection signal being output from a detector which detect the light beam scanned in the main scanning direction in a region away from an effective scan region which corresponds to the effective image region; controlling a resonant frequency of the oscillation mirror based on the detection signal so that the resonant frequency of the oscillation mirror almost coincides with the frequency of the drive signal; and adjusting a position, at which the latent image is written over the latent image carrier, is adjusted by adjusting output timing of the video signal based on the detection signal from the detector.

摘要: A light scanning apparatus makes a light beam scan along a main scanning direction on an effective scanning region which has a predetermined width. The apparatus comprises: a light source which emits the light beam; a deflector which includes an oscillation mirror which oscillates about an oscillatory axis which is orthogonal or approximately orthogonal to the main scanning direction, deflects the light beam emitted from the light source using the oscillation mirror, and makes the light beam scan a second scanning range which contains but extends beyond a first scanning range which corresponds to the effective scanning region; a detector which detects the scanning light beam which moves through a position which is outside the first scanning range but is within the second scanning range, and outputs a signal; and a controller which controls a mirror drive signal fed to the oscillation mirror based on the output signal from the detector and accordingly adjusts the amplitude of the oscillation mirror. In the apparatus above, the controller stops driving the oscillation mirror when confirming based on the output signal that the oscillation mirror is under abnormal control.

摘要: A transmission optical system comprises a concave surface mirror whose reflection surface is directed toward a deflection mirror surface and a transmission lens which is disposed between the concave surface mirror and the deflection mirror surface. A light beam deflected by a deflecting element at a first deflection angle is guided to the concave surface mirror via the transmission lens, and the light beam returned by the concave surface mirror is guided to the deflecting element via the transmission lens. In consequence, the deflecting element reflects the light beam twice, and the light beam is emitted toward a scanning lens at a second deflection angle which is larger than the first deflection angle.
