摘要: Embodiments herein relate to ear-worn devices with swappable, rechargeable battery cartridges and charger cases for the ear-worn devices. In an embodiment, a hearing assistance system is included having a first ear-worn device can include a first cartridge having a rechargeable battery and a first cartridge charging structure, and a charger case can include a first case charging structure, where the first ear-worn device is configured to be positioned within the charger case so that the first cartridge charging structure of the first ear-worn device is adjacent to the first case charging structure within the charger case. The first cartridge is configured to be removed from the first ear-worn device and positioned within the charger case so that the first cartridge charging structure is adjacent to the first case charging structure within the charger case, without the ear-worn device being positioned in the charger case.

摘要: Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for active noise cancellation (ANC) for hearing device applications. A method includes measuring a receiver-to-inward-facing microphone response during an in-situ calibration stage for the hearing device, estimating a receiver-to-eardrum transfer function using the measured receiver-to-inward-facing microphone response, and measuring an outward-facing microphone to inward-facing microphone transfer function for an external noise sound field during run-time operation of the hearing device. The method also includes estimating an inward-facing microphone to eardrum transformation for the external noise sound field in the inward-facing microphone using the measured outward-facing microphone to inward-facing microphone transfer function, computing an ANC controller using the estimated receiver-to-eardrum transfer function and the estimated inward-facing microphone to eardrum transformation, and cancelling acoustic noise for the hearing device using the ANC controller.

摘要: Disclosed herein, among other things, are systems and methods for active noise cancellation (ANC) for hearing device applications. A method includes estimating a first sound pressure on an ear drum of a wearer of the hearing device caused by a hearing processing signal, estimating a second sound pressure on the ear drum of the wearer of the hearing device caused by a leakage path of the hearing device, and computing a ratio of the first sound pressure and the second sound pressure to predict a comb-filtering effect for the hearing device. The method also includes computing an ANC controller using the computed ratio in one or more frequency ranges, and canceling leaked sound into an ear canal of the wearer for the hearing device in the one or more frequency ranges using the ANC controller.

摘要: A hearing device may include an earpiece, and ear-tip suspension element disposed in the earpiece, a solenoid actuator, and a controller. The earpiece and the ear-tip suspension element may include passageways that connect to form a vent through the earpiece. The solenoid actuator may include a solenoid and a core. The core may be movable between an open position and a closed position to open and close the vent. The controller may include one or more processors and may be operably coupled to the solenoid actuator to control movement of the core between the open and closed position. The controller may be configured to move the core using the solenoid based on at least a listening environment of the hearing device.

摘要: A hearing device includes a microphone that produces an audio input signal and a loudspeaker that outputs an amplified audio signal into an ear canal. A signal processing path is coupled to the microphone and the loudspeaker. The signal processing path includes a deep neural network configured to predict an instantaneous gain margin of the hearing device based on a set of inputs. The set of inputs includes a first parameter of the audio input signal, a second parameter of the amplified audio signal, and a gain of the signal processing path. A feedback reduction module of the device receives the predicted instantaneous gain margin and adjusts feedback reduction parameters to reduce an onset of feedback in the hearing device
