摘要: A porous conduit may be suitable for use in treating a tissue site, and may include a central lumen and a porous wall positioned substantially concentric about the central lumen. The porous wall may have an open porous structure that may define a plurality of interconnected pores in fluid communication with one another. As part of a system, the porous conduit may be used with a manifold adapted to be positioned at a tissue site, a sealing drape adapted to cover the manifold to provide a sealed space relative to the tissue site, and a therapy device including a reduced-pressure source. The porous conduit may be disposed in the sealed space and in fluid communication between the sealed space and the reduced-pressure source.

摘要: A suction device includes an outer tube having an inlet at a first end and an inner suction tube located within the outer tube, the inner suction tube having an inlet at a first end corresponding to the first end of the outer tube. The inlet of the inner suction tube is offset by a distance from the inlet of the outer suction tube, such that the inlet of the inner suction tube is located within the outer suction tube.

摘要: A dressing (2) and an apparatus (1) comprising the dressing, for cleansing the wounds (5) in which an irrigant fluid from a reservoir (12) connected to a conformable would dressing and would exudate from the dressing are moved by a device (18) (which may be a single pump or two pumps) for moving fluid through a flow Path (6, 7, 9, 10) which passes through the dressing with a means for providing simultaneous aspiration and irrigation of the wound, to provide a desired balance of fluid at a controlled nominal flow rate that removes materials deleterious to wound healing, while distributing materials that are beneficial in promoting would healing over the wound bed.

摘要: An apparatus and system for fluidly connecting a reduced-pressure source to a dressing and a method for manufacturing and using the same include a base having an aperture and a wall having a peripheral portion coupled to the base. The wall may form a cavity in fluid communication with the aperture. The apparatus also may include a conduit port fluidly coupled to the cavity and adapted to receive a conduit. The base may be adapted to couple to the dressing, and the wall may be adapted to collapse from a first position to a second position in response to a supply of reduced pressure from the reduced-pressure source.

摘要: A device for transporting waste gases and liquid exudates from a wound. The device may include a multi lumen tubing and a connector for securing the multi lumen tubing to a fitting. The multi lumen tubing may include a double wall containment structure with a first lumen and a second lumen. The connector may include a body with a first cavity on one side, a second cavity on another side, and an interior wall located between the first cavity and the second cavity. The interior wall may form a projection in the second cavity. The projection may include an outer surface and a ledge adjacent the outer surface. The projection may cooperate with the multi lumen tubing to form a liquid-gas separator. The ledge may include a bore extending between the first cavity and the second cavity. The bore may house a gas permeable and a liquid impermeable barrier.

摘要: A medical device includes a tubular member having a distal end residing interiorly of the body of a patient, a proximal end extending exteriorly of the body, and a lumen extending therebetween. A first passageway extends along the tubular member between a distal end in fluid communication with the lumen, and a proximal end extending exteriorly of the body. A second passageway extends along the tubular member between a distal end located distal to the distal end of the first passageway, and a proximal end extending exteriorly of the body. An occlusion member is associated with the distal end of the second passageway. The occlusion member is movable between an occluded configuration and a non-occluded configuration for selectively occluding the lumen of the tubular member. When the lumen is occluded, a flushing fluid may be passed therethrough via the distal end of the first passageway.

摘要: A tube and conductor set includes a polymeric tube having a radially outward facing surface and a conductor having a polymeric sheath in which the polymeric sheath has a radially outward facing surface. The radially outward facing surface of the polymeric tube is bonded to the radially outward facing surface of the polymeric sheath of the conductor over an axial length, except for one or more unbonded intermediate axial gaps. These one or more unbonded intermediate axial gaps provide a starting point for the separation of one of the ends of the polymeric tube from one of the ends the conductor. It is contemplated that more than one tube and/or conductor can be bonded and that each line of bonding could have such unbonded intermediate axial gaps to facilitate ease of separation.

摘要: A rotational atherectomy device for abrading a stenotic lesion from a vessel of a patient comprises a flexible drive shaft which extends towards a distal end of the device, a distal fluid inflatable support element located at a distal end of the drive shaft and an abrasive element mounted to the drive shaft proximal to and spaced away from the distal fluid inflatable support element. Both the abrasive element and the distal fluid inflatable support element are rotatable together with the drive shaft and the drive shaft comprises a torque transmitting coil which defines a long lumen of the drive shaft.
