摘要: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for instilling fluid to a tissue site in a negative-pressure therapy environment are described. Illustrative embodiments may include a pneumatically-actuated instillation pump that can draw a solution from a solution source during a negative-pressure interval, and instill the solution to a dressing during a venting interval. A pneumatic actuator may be mechanically coupled to a disposable distribution system that can provide a fluid path between the solution source and a distribution component. A bacterial filter may be disposed in the fluid path between the actuator and the distribution component to prevent contamination of the actuator during operation. The distribution system may be separated from the actuator and disposed of after operation, and the actuator may be re-used.

摘要: A mechanical wound therapy (MWT) system includes a connection for a vacuum source, which is routed through an airtight covering to a porous material positioned over the wound. The porous material may be a tubing network interspaced by a netting material constructed of biologically inert or bioabsorbable material. Alternatively, the porous material may be a layered unified dressing in which layers of mesh, netting or thin perforated film are separated and fixedly attached to functional elements of the dressing (e.g., irrigation tubing) or spacers. The vacuum and irrigation systems may be completely separated. An airtight sealing layer or foldable adhesive sealing layer may seal the dressing and facilitate sealing the dressing to the wound margins. Additional modular devices such as a wound approximating system, positive pressure bladders and adjuvant therapy modules as well as enhanced monitoring technology can be added to synergistically increase the capabilities of each dressing.

摘要: Various arrangements of fluidics systems are disclosed. In one arrangement, an aspiration circuit for a fluidics system is disclosed that selectively controls aspiration. The aspiration circuit comprises an aspiration line operatively connected to a surgical instrument, an aspiration exhaust line operatively connected to a waste receptacle; an aspiration vent line connected at a first end to the aspiration line; and a selectively variable vent valve operatively connected to the aspiration vent line. The variable vent valve may be selectively moved to vary aspiration pressure within the aspiration line. Other fluidics systems are disclosed that include a selectively positionable irrigation valve that may also be incorporated into a fluidics system that includes a variable vent valve.

摘要: A suction/irrigation medical device comprises a valve body having one or more conduits fluidically coupled thereto and a first channel extending through the valve body. The medical device also comprises a first valve plunger disposed along the first channel and configured to move along an axis to open and close the first channel. The first valve plunger has a first opening to permit a fluid to flow through the first channel. The medical device also comprises a second valve plunger disposed along the first channel and along a second channel to couple the second channel into the first channel when the second valve plunger is in a first position. The second valve plunger has a second opening that has at least one dimension that is greater than a corresponding dimension of the first opening of the first valve plunger.

摘要: Disclosed is an auxiliary apparatus for fecal bypass for bypassing and discharging feces in the intestines.
Since supporting portions are connected to a single air flow tube to simultaneously expand when air is injected, and the size of the supporting portions is limited, the auxiliary apparatus for fecal bypass of the present invention does not damage the inner wall and outer wall (mucous membrane and serous membrane) of the intestines.
Also, the present invention comprises a liquid moving tube allowing a therapeutic liquid being refluxed quickly and automatically when the pressure inside the intestines increases, thereby preventing abdominal pain of a patient.
