    摘要: A device for separating paint overspray from the cabin exhaust air of painting systems which is laden with overspray having at least one separating surface, on which the cabin exhaust air can be guided along and which is electrically conducting and connected to a pole of a high voltage source. An electrode device arranged in the air stream is associated with the separating surface and connected to the other pole of the high voltage source. Paint overspray is transported away from the separating surface by an electrically conducting separating fluid, which can be fed to the separating surface and flows over the separating surface so that a large part at least of the solids pass from the cabin exhaust air flowing past into the separating fluid.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an electrostatic precipitator (2) which comprises mutually adjacent discharge electrodes (3a) and collecting electrodes (4a), and a voltage source which delivers to the electrodes a d.c. current of high voltage so as to generate in the space (5) between the electrodes an electrostatic field which imparts an electrical charge to the solid particles and/or liquid droplets entering the space (5), such that the particles/droplets are attracted primarily to the collecting electrodes (4a). A plurality of electrodes are formed and positioned in a manner to provide a self-supporting structure which is flexurally rigid in all directions. The electrodes are positioned with the aid of beams (20, 21, 22) to define the aforementioned space (5), together with wall sections (2a, 16).

    摘要: A powder spray booth for use with an electrostatic powder spray gun for coating objects in an electrostatic field as said objects are passed through the booth. The booth includes a bottom panel on which is fixedly mounted a front panel, a rear panel and a pair of side panels. A top panel is operatively mounted on top of the last-named panels. All of the aforementioned panels are made from molded fireproof fiber glass material. Each of the side panels is integrally connected to the adjacent front and rear panels by rounded corner portions. The top and bottom panels are each provided with rounded corners. Each of the side walls is provided with an opening for the passage therethrough of a workpiece to be sprayed with powder. The front panel has an opening for admitting a powder spray gun for spraying the workpiece. At least one powder outlet opening is provided in one of the panels. The top panel has a longitudinal opening for the passage therethrough of a supporting means for the workpiece, and a metallic powder collecting means, at ground electrical potential, is disposed around each side of said longitudinal opening in the top panel.

    摘要: A spray painting booth for electrostatically painting objects includes encapsulated electrically charged panels which are adapted to repel electrically charged paint particles that are produced by an electrostatic spray painting device. The electrostatic spray painting device is charged to a potential of 60,000 to 135,000 volts DC negative with respect to ground so that the resulting spray of paint particles is negatively charged. An object or article to be painted is disposed in the booth by a conveyor mechanism and is maintained at ground potential. The encapsulated, electrically charged panels or walls of the booth are charged to a potential of 30,000 volts DC negative with respect to ground by a power supply such that the panels are charged to a potential between the negative DC potential with respect to ground to which the spray paint device is charged and the ground potential of the article to be painted. The resulting electrostatic field emanating from the panels repels paint particles that do not adhere to the article and thereby reduces the amount of paint that would otherwise accumulate on surfaces of the spray paint booth near the article being painted.
