Methods and apparatus for creating a decorative surface on concrete products are disclosed. Material used to create the decorative surface can comprise one or more of various types of decorative aggregates. The chosen aggregate pieces or particles are attached to a thin, flexible substrate by a suitable glue. The reverse or backside of the thin, flexible substrate is attached to the form face of a concrete form prior to concrete being poured. After concrete is poured in a manner careful not to dislodge the glued on aggregate, and the concrete sets, the form is removed. The glue that previously held the aggregate to the substrate is re emulsified, releasing the aggregate. This leaves the aggregate embedded in the concrete. Excess glue and any substrate particles can be removed by spraying the exposed decorative aggregate surface with a suitable reagent, such as water.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a method for manufacturing glass fiber reinforced concrete. The method can comprise selecting a mold, inserting the mold into a carrier, mixing and applying a face mix, installing an insert to create a process tool. The mold may then be filled with a back mix, and the process tool may then be placed in an oven at a target temperature for a target time to achieve a pre-cure. The work piece may then be removed from the process tool and may then be placed in an oven at a temperature for a time to achieve a full cure of the work piece.

This disclosure relates to devices and methods for the manufacture and installation of precast architectural products derived from recycled materials. Preferably, the precast products are comprised of recycled foam material that may be derived from scrap material or used mold components. The recycled devices and methods utilize a two-step ledger system to help install architectural products that would otherwise require mechanical fasteners because of the weight of the precast piece. To be used with a ledger, the architectural products disclosed herein comprise a channel or indentation configured to receive and rest on the ledger. Also disclosed is a mold for precast architectural products that can itself form a part of the recycled foam material used in the mixture that forms precast architectural products.

The concrete stone is fabricated by a dry-cast concrete mold wherein a profiling plate is provided with mold bottom wall formations each having a textured outer surface. A bond release film or spray or permanent coating is provided on the textured outer surface of the mold bottom wall formations. Mold forming side walls are disposed about the mold bottom wall formations. After the mold is filled with a dry-cast concrete mixture a top plate, having mold top wall formations, is disposed over the mold forming side walls with the mold top wall formations disposed inside respective ones of the molds to close the molds. Pressure and vibration is applied to compact the dry-cast concrete whereby to form a dry-cast concrete stone with opposed molded textured surfaces.

The invention relates to a method for producing a concrete shaft bottom which comprises a drain having a defined shape. According to said method, concrete is introduced into a bottom mold (1) that comprises a mold jacket (2) and a mold bottom (3). On said mold bottom (3), a molded body (8) forming the negative shape of the drain is disposed to configure the drain. The aim of the invention is to allow for the inexpensive and mechanized production of a shaft bottom having an individual drain. For this purpose, the molded body (8) is configured from at least one molded piece (9) that is fixed on the bottom mold (1), especially on the mold bottom (3). The molded piece (9) is adapted to the dimensions of the defined shape of the drain and is removed from the shaft bottom once or while the formwork is dismantled from the shaft bottom.
