The first end is connected to the pedal, and the fulcrum is between the first end and the second end and is located close to the second end. The brake link group is connected between the elbow and the brake control link. The brake pump has an adjustable rod, and one link of the brake link group is connected to the adjustable rod.

The compressible medium may be positioned relative to the chamber such that the compressible medium is subjected to a force due to pressurization of the brake fluid in the chamber. A volume of the compressible medium may be configured to be changed by the force due to the pressurization of the brake fluid.

Upon brake pedal actuation, a pressure of the pressure provision apparatus is applied to the brake circuit in a first operating mode and the pressure of the master brake cylinder is applied to the brake circuit in a second operating mode. In the event of transition from the second operating mode to the first operating mode while the brake pedal is actuated, the actuation travel of the brake pedal is adjusted by electronic open-loop or closed-loop control.
