摘要: An improved valve for use in a hydrostatic drive apparatus for a vehicle such as a zero turn vehicle. For each hydraulic drive system in the vehicle, a valve is located between the high and low pressure sides of the closed hydraulic circuit connecting the hydraulic pump and motor. The valve opens when the pressure rise rate in the high pressure side reaches a set level to minimize pressure spikes in the high pressure side and thus improve performance of the vehicle. A valve block may be used to mount the valve, and a second valve may also be included therein to connect the two pressure sides of the hydraulic circuit in a similar manner when the vehicle is operated in reverse.

摘要: A hydrostatic propulsion drive for a vehicle is disclosed including an electronic control unit and a hydrostatic transmission having a hydraulic pump with an adjustable swept volume and a hydraulic motor with an adjustable swept volume, the hydraulic pump being arranged in a closed hydraulic circuit. The swept volumes of the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are changeable in accordance with a correction factor which is stored in a characteristic diagram and is dependent on the rotational speed and the drive torque of the hydraulic motor, the operating pressure at the hydraulic motor being increased if the correction factor is used. Due to the increased operating pressure, flow-induced pressure drops are reduced by way of volumetric flows, and leakage flows via gaps between moving parts of the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic motor are kept large enough to avoid excessive friction and loss of efficiency.

The speed of the motor and/or rotary component is monitored and changes in the speed are controlled by changing the pressure of the hydraulic fluid delivered to the motor.

摘要: An adaptive automatic transmission control system responds to stopping of a vehicle for reducing torque absorption by an automatic transmission and movement of and range to obstructions forward from a vehicle for reengaging the automatic transmission after a stop. The torque converter is released from its reduced torque absorption mode under one of three circumstances: 1) the brake pedal is released; 2) the detected obstruction moves outside a first predefined maximum range; and, 3) the detected obstruction moves outside a second predefined maximum range and at greater than a predefined minimum speed.

摘要: A system and method configured to select a control configuration for a hydraulic fluid system. The system includes a controller having at least one sensor and a processor. The controller is configured to sense a feed pressure and a return pressure of a fluid within the hydraulic fluid system and a speed of a driven set of wheels and a speed of an idle set of wheels. The driven set of wheels are drivingly coupled to an engine, and the idle set of wheels are drivingly coupled to the hydraulic fluid system. The controller is further configured to select a control configuration for the hydraulic fluid system based on a ratio between the feed pressure and the return pressure, and further based on a ratio between the speed of the driven set of wheels and the speed of the idle set of wheels.
