    摘要: A metal matrix composite using as one of the components a precious metal is described. In one embodiment, the precious metal takes the form of gold and the metal matrix composite has a gold mass fraction in accordance with 18 k. The metal matrix composite can be formed by blending a precious metal (e.g., gold) powder and a ceramic powder, forming a mixture that is then compressed within a die having a near net shape of the metal matrix composite. The compressed mixture in the die is then heated to sinter the precious metal and ceramic powder. Other techniques for forming the precious metal matrix composite using HIP, and a diamond powder are also disclosed.

    摘要: A method for producing a watch case middle having reduced weight is disclosed. A 3-D data set is generated for the case middle, the model comprising at least one internal cavity within the case middle. The 3-D data set is converted into a plurality of layers, each layer representing a cross-sectional layer of the middle, and then the case middle is formed layer-by-layer from powdered material using an additive manufacturing process such as DMLS in order to provide the case middle with a unitary construction. Loose powder is removed from each cavity via one or more powder evacuation holes formed between the cavity and an external surface of the case middle, and a through hole formed through the middle is machined to a desired finish and/or precision, the through hole being designed to receive a control member stem when a watch movement is mounted inside the middle.

    摘要: This watch case comprises a protective casing surrounded by a middle (5) and a bezel (9). The protective casing includes a glass (3), a side wall (2) and a bottom (1). A planar peripheral surface extending along the entire edge of the inner face of the glass is in contact with a similar bearing surface on the side wall (2), at least part of which forms the width of the cross section of a pressure resistant structure having parallel lateral faces (SR) perpendicular to the bearing surface, and which extends without a gap as far as the bottom (1) of the casing. The components of the casing are secured and sealed with at least one annular seal (4) surrounding the lateral face of the glass (3) and the outer lateral face of the side wall (2) of the casing, and this seal is clamped.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an electronic watch (100) having a contactless data communication function. The case (101) of the electronic watch is constructed from metal or other conductive material, and is formed in an annular shape with a dial-side opening (101A) and a back-side opening (101B). A gap (101G) is disposed to one part of the case (101) in the circumferential direction as an insulation part, and an insulation material (109) is located and fixed inside this gap (101G). Because the occurrence of an eddy current can thus be prevented, a drop in communication function can be suppressed even though an annular conductive member is used in the case or other structural parts. Furthermore, because the strength of the case can be improved and the seal or water resistance can be easily assured, the reliability of the electronic watch can be increased.
