    摘要: A roof transition system is provided for supporting and ventilating roof tiles near a roof transition such as a valley or a side wall. The system includes a corrugated flashing and an eave riser extension containing one or more openings for ventilation and drainage. The eave riser extension supports the lowermost row of roof tiles along the eaves at the pitch desired for the roof transition. The eave riser extension completes the closure of the entire eaves and provides support, ventilation, and drainage, while also providing a barrier to wind-driven precipitation, bird nesting, and animal invasion.

    摘要: Adjacent rows of flat, panel-shaped components disposed below one another, overlapping in a shingle-like way, form a covering of a roof or a facade. The components are preferably designed as photovoltaic elements. Disposed under the components in each case in the region between adjacently situated vertical rows is a section forming an upwardly open channel in order to receive and drain water running off next to the components. The section has sawtooth-shaped lateral parts on which the components are borne in their shingle-like configuration. By means of the lateral parts, a clearly defined support for the components is formed, and by means of the sections draining the water, seals between the components can be dispensed with even in horizontal direction.

The ridge covers are manufactured and packaged in an approximately 90 degree "V" shape so as to require very little bending during installation. Adhesive holds the angle formed during manufacture. The ridge cover may have a thickening member or members thereunder giving the ridge covers a tapered thickness which, when installed, gives the resulting roof a pronounced three dimensional appearance.

    摘要: Ventilating material for covering a vent opening in a roof consists of multiple panels that interconnect with each other to condense the venting material for transport by permitting it to be folded into multiple layers. A fastening band extends around all but one of the panels and a second fastening band extends around all of the panels to thereby hold the panels together for transport. After the bundle is placed on the roof of a building structure, the second fastener is released to release the first panel, while the remaining panels remain bundled together by the other fastener. The method of creasing and folding the materials to permit multiple ply corrugated material to be folded to form the bundle of venting material is also disclosed. The folding process may also be used, according to still another aspect of the invention, to make a transport container of multiple ply corrugated material.

    摘要: A protective cap for covering a top of a wall. The cap is constructed in the form of an elongate channel having an upper plate and opposing sidewalls. Each sidewall tapers inwardly to an innermost side edge, then slants outwardly from that edge. The sidewalls are preferably flexible and resilient with sufficient elastic memory to function cooperatively as a gripper. The cap is placed onto the top of an outdoor wall, with the upper plate of the cap disposed along the top and the sidewalls extending downwardly along opposing sides of the outdoor wall. The cap is constructed such that the outdoor wall is wider than the distance between the innermost side edges when the sidewalls of the cap reside in a natural, unbiased position.
