The wire protecting structure includes a tube having a slit which is longitudinally formed throughout the tube and has substantially a width to facilitate insert of the wire into the tube, and a plurality of protrusions which may be formed at outer surface of the tube; a cover for enforcing the tube to closely contact the wire to the tube, wherein an edge of the cover is integral with outer surface of the tube, other edge of the cover is provided with a plurality of holes which are held to the protrusions of the tube, and a mid-portion of the cover is attached to the top portion of the insulator; and elongated binders wound about the tube and the cover, in a spiral winding configuration, to hold the tube and the cover to the insulator.

摘要： An improved centrifugally-cast tube is provided, along with a related method and apparatus of making the tube. The tube includes a plurality of grooves and bosses that are mechanically machined into an interior surface of the tube, such as by a broaching process. The profile of grooves and bosses may be defined by a plurality of intersecting concave and convex radii. The tube is resistant to creep, carburization and metal dusting. The tube also has an enhanced heat transfer rate, and a desirable surface roughness. A method of making the tube is also provided. The method essentially consists of mechanically deforming the interior surface of the tube by passing a series of cutting inserts on support rings having incrementally-differing dimensions over the interior surface. An apparatus is also provided which includes a telescoping shaft upon which is mounted at least one cutting tool that has a plurality of cutting inserts and is adapted to form a plurality of grooves and bosses in the interior surface of the tube. The grooves and bosses may be straight or spiraled.

摘要： To provide a super-high strength line pipe that is excellent in low temperature toughness, can be field welded easily, and has a tensile strength of at least 900 MPa (exceeding ×100 of the API standard), and a production method thereof. The present invention relates to a super-high strength line pipe produced by shaping a steel plate into a pipe shape and arc welding seam portions, the strength of a base steel portion is 900 to 1,100 MPa and the strength of the weld metal is higher than the base steel strength −100 MPa. In the steel pipe, the Ni content of the weld metal is higher by at least 1% than that of the base steel. The combination of the chemical components of the steel plate with those of the weld metal, for accomplishing these steel pipes by a U&O step is shown concretely. A production method of the steel plate and the welding method for achieving the steel pipe are also described. Furthermore, a method of reducing the strength of the inner surface of the weld metal to restrict cracking at the time of pipe expansion is also shown.

摘要： Prefabricated insulated pipe sections are constructed of an inner pipe surrounded by a concentrically-positioned outer pipe. End portions of the inner and outer pipes are joined with bellow members so that an annular space is defined. A portion of the inner pipe is wrapped with layers of insulation material with inert insulating granules positioned between the layers. The annular space is partially evacuated to below atmospheric pressure. Multiple pipe sections may be joined by their inner pipes through brazing or other known methods. The joints and neighboring bellow members on abutting pipe sections are covered by vacuum sleeves that are sealed and provide a vacuum tight joint.
