    摘要: A centrifugally cast composite roll comprising an outer layer formed by a centrifugal casting method, and an inner layer made of ductile cast iron and integrally fused to the outer layer; the outer layer being made of an Fe-based alloy having a chemical composition comprising by mass at least 0.8-3.0% of Cr, 1.5-6.0% of Mo, and 1.8-5.5% of V, and a metal structure in which the area ratio of graphite is 0.3-10%; the inner layer comprising a roll body portion fused to the outer layer, and shaft portions integrally extending from both ends of the roll body portion; and the total amount of Cr, Mo and V being 0.15-2.0% by mass in end portions of both shaft portions, and the difference in the total amount of Cr, Mo and V between one shaft portion and the other shaft portion being 0.2% or more by mass.

    摘要: A cylinder liner with a plurality of protrusions on its outside surface and the manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. The protrusions are Ω-shaped, P-shaped or taper-shaped, and the Ω-shaped, P-shaped and taper-shaped protrusions are accounted for 50-99.5%, 0.5-30% and 0-20% of the total number of protrusions, respectively. The density of the protrusions on the outside surface of the cylinder liner is 15-65 per square centimeter. The outer surface of the protrusions of the cylinder liner is curved, and has a large contact area and a concave which can be filled by an aluminum sheath to improve the radial bearing capacity, so as to effectively improve the bite force between the cylinder liner and the outside aluminum sheath and prevent the cylinder liner from breaking away from the cylinder body.

    摘要: A pipe for a steam turbine is formed of a centrifugal casting material to achieve resistance against higher temperatures and improve reliability of the pipe by employing, as a pipe material, a centrifugal casting material normalized to contain uniform and finer crystal grains. The centrifugal casting material is made of steel having a columnar structure in the radial direction with the crystal grain size number of 5 or more in a plane perpendicular to the radial direction.     摘要: A method and apparatus for centrifugal casting of metal articles uses a rotating mold body that can be pivoted from a vertical orientation to a horizontal orientation during the centrifugal casting of the metal article. The resulting metal article has a closed end and an open end defining a hollow cavity. The mold body has a closed end that is oriented in a vertical position with the longitudinal axis extending vertically. While the mold body is rotated, an amount of molten metal is introduced into the mold body so that the molten metal is distributed along the closed end of the mold body. In one embodiment, the bottom end of the mold body has a frustoconical shaped surface defining the mold cavity. The mold body is then pivoted to a horizontal position while continuously rotating to distribute and cast the metal against the inner surface of the mold body. In one embodiment, the mold body has a refractory lining of a compacted refractory material. The refractory material is introduced into the rotating mold and a blade is contacted with the layer of the refractory material formed on the inner surface while the mold is rotated in a first direction to compact and densify the layer of particles with a flat end of the blade. The rotation of the mold body is then reversed and the sharp edge of the blade is contacted with the compacted layer to shape and contour the mold lining.

    摘要: A profiled tube (50b) comprising a high carbon content alloy (greater than 0.3%), superalloy or other high creep strength material, has a fluted bore with internal fins (52b) and intervening valleys or troughs (56b). Such a tube is made by centrifugal casting and subsequent electrochemical machining by drawing of an electrode (104) along the tube while at the same time passing electrolyte along the tube and around the electrode and also applying an electrical current between the tube and electrode, so that material of the tube passes into solution in the electrolyte.The electrode (104) has the same profile as the end-profile required in the tube (80) but has an inclined working face (124). An electrode rod (92) drives the electrode from one end mounting means (82) to another (84), each of which support the tube (80) and supply/exhaust electrolytic solution. The electrolyte is preferably sodium nitrate, although an acid based system is feasible.

    摘要: An improved centrifugally-cast tube is provided, along with a related method and apparatus of making the tube. The tube includes a plurality of grooves and bosses that are mechanically machined into an interior surface of the tube, such as by a broaching process. The profile of grooves and bosses may be defined by a plurality of intersecting concave and convex radii. The tube is resistant to creep, carburization and metal dusting. The tube also has an enhanced heat transfer rate, and a desirable surface roughness. A method of making the tube is also provided. The method essentially consists of mechanically deforming the interior surface of the tube by passing a series of cutting inserts on support rings having incrementally-differing dimensions over the interior surface. An apparatus is also provided which includes a telescoping shaft upon which is mounted at least one cutting tool that has a plurality of cutting inserts and is adapted to form a plurality of grooves and bosses in the interior surface of the tube. The grooves and bosses may be straight or spiraled.
