摘要: An electrical device supporting switchable graphics function, electrically connected with a display unit, includes a first graphic chip, a second graphic chip, a peripheral, an Embedded Controller (EC) and a processing unit. Information of a present graphic chip is stored in an EC RAM of the EC, wherein the present graphic chip is one of the first graphic chip and the second graphic chip. A control unit of the EC obtains the information of the present graphic chip from the EC RAM and controls operation status of the peripheral according to the obtained information of the present graphic chip. The processing unit obtains the information of the present graphic chip from the EC RAM. The processing unit drives the present graphic chip to process an image signal and transmit the processed image signal to the display unit for display according to the obtained information of the present graphic chip.

摘要: A network router management interface for use in configuring a router and obtaining operational information provides an application programming interface (API) that permits clients to formulate requests and receive replies according to an extensible markup language such as XML. The router may transform a login stream at a router command line interface (CLI) to implement the XML-based API. For example, the management server accepts input from the CLI and, upon receipt of a particular command from the client, transforms the CLI into a programmatic interface for exchange of XML-tagged requests and XML-tagged replies according to the XML-based API. Providing access to the XML-based API via the CLI login shell enables the use of standard login, security, authentication and authorization techniques.

摘要: A programmable non-volatile memory device includes block switching logic that enables device-level translation rules to be changed. The device-level translation rules map the external addresses received by the flash memory device to the internal addresses of the programmable non-volatile memory device. Because the device-level translation rules are changeable, the physical location in the programmable non-volatile memory device to which an external address maps can be changed in a manner that is transparent to off-device operations. By allowing device-level translation rules to be changed, block management functions can be accomplished within the programmable non-volatile memory device itself.

摘要: A computer network file system is described. The computer network file system includes first metadata, which is managed primarily by a first file server that is operably connected to a network fabric. The first metadata includes first file location information, and the first file location information includes at least one server id. The computer network file system also includes second metadata, which is managed primarily by a second file server that is operably connected to a network fabric. The second metadata includes second file location information, and the second file location information includes at least one server id. The first metadata and the second metadata are configured to allow a requester to locate files that are stored by the first file server and files that are stored by the second file server in a directory structure that spans the first file server and the second file server.

摘要: A missile is tested by first stimulating the performance of missile built-in tests that are stimulated in service by signals from the launch site, and which tests do not require internal access to the missile. If performance is satisfactory, no further testing is required. If a condition of unsatisfactory missile performance is detected, an access cover is removed, connections are made to internal sources of data, and the built-in tests are repeated in order to determine which internal components caused the unsatisfactory missile performance. The component is repaired. The testing with the access cover removed is repeated, and, if the performance is satisfactory, the access cover is replaced and the testing with the access cover present is repeated.

摘要: A cruise speed control apparatus in an aircraft performance management system wherein target Mach command is supplied to the engine automatic throttle controls to establish an engine thrust to overcome and equate to the aircraft nominal drag characteristics at that commanded Mach speed and simultaneously the difference between the actual Mach number speed and the target Mach command speed is supplied to the automatic pilot pitch axis control to cause the aircraft to maintain the commanded Mach speed through change in pitch attitude and altitude. The integral of any altitude standoff is used to adjust required thrust to achieve the commanded Mach target and reduce the standoff to zero. If necessary, filtered altitude error may be used to provide dynamic damping of the throttle control loop and compensation for long term degradation in the aircraft's drag characteristic with time is provided by measuring the drag degradation ratio and adjusting the target Mach command in accordance therewith.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for performing web clipping at an intermediate clip server (ICS)—performing an intermediate rendering (VR1) by—accessing at least one source web site (SWS),—executing some or all scripts of a web document of the accessed source web site (SWS),—establishing a clip instance (CI) on the basis of said intermediate rendering (VR1)—transmitting said clip instance (CI) to a client browser (CB). According to the invention, an effective and robust web clipping has been obtained as scripts may be executed and the relevant data imported into the clip although the scripts may be external, i.e. not included in the clip as such. Moreover, the desired web clipping may be established on the basis of external links or other data external to the clip-defining HTML.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and business techniques are disclosed for use in distributed communication systems comprising a plurality of communication protocols. In one embodiment a first air interface is used to initiate communication between a wireless client and a remote server at least partially using a first wireless access point. The server sends the wireless client a stub of a distributed object. The stub is used to instantiate an object class. The object class defines an interface that the remote client can use to communicate with the remote server using an upper layer interface. The distributed object stub also provides an implementation of a software radio configuration for a set of lower protocol layers in a second air interface. The wireless client can thereby communicate with a second wireless access point using said second air interface protocol. Exemplary embodiments of the present invention are disclosed that focus on toll-tag and electronic-commerce related highway systems, distributed federated wireless access systems, and wide area wireless system capacity augmentation.
