    摘要: A high performance, high capacitance gain, electric connector for data transfer applications. At least eight sequentially positioned elongate contact members are connected in a series of signal pairs. A first signal pair includes a fourth contact member and a fifth contact member. A second signal pair includes a third contact member and a sixth contact member. In addition, a third signal pair comprises a first contact member and a second contact member. Finally, a seventh and an eighth contact member are in a fourth signal pair. One member of each contact member pair is configured differently from the other member of the pair, the respective contact members being oriented relative to one another such that they substantially remain in generally parallel planes, but define non-parallel paths. Each of the third and fifth contact members mounts a plate-like extension oriented in a first direction and in respective planes generally parallel to one another. Each pair of extensions are separated by a first dielectric such that a first capacitor is formed. Furthermore, each of the fourth and sixth contact members mounts a plate-like extension oriented in a second direction and also in respective planes generally parallel to one another. Each pair of extensions are likewise separated by a second dielectric such that a second capacitor is formed. Each contact of each contact member pair has a plug engaging portion and a board engaging portion, the plurality of contact members having a selected shape, being arranged relative to one another, and being housed collectively by a dielectric casing so as to minimize crosstalk during data transfer.

A preferred embodiment also comprises a second connector half for mounting on a second circuit substrate and mating with the first connector half. The second connector half comprises a second connector body and a second electrically-conductive member mounted in the second connector body for conducting electrical power to a plurality of locations on the second circuit substrate. The second power contact strip contacts the first power contact strip when the first and second connector halves are mated.

The fitting facilitates electrical connection of the electrical components within the housing with a wire harness that is external to the housing.

The first electrical socket of the adapter is suitable for temporary connection to an electrical interface of the tester, and the second electrical socket is suitable for temporary connection to an electrical interface of the electrical device. The electrical device can be one of a plurality of electrical devices and the tester can be one of a plurality of testers.

The connector includes a molded dielectric housing having terminals mounted through an elongated body portion of the housing. The terminals have tails projecting rearwardly of the body portion. A plurality of discrete mating portions are spaced along the body portion and project forwardly of a front face thereof. A recessed area is formed in the front face of the body portion between adjacent forwardly projecting mating portions. A rib projects rearwardly of the body portion between the tails of the terminals for adjacent mating portions. The recessed areas form flow interrupters for molten material of which the housing is molded.

    摘要: An electrical screw-on terminal assembly is provided for a connection to wires or cables, particularly those with eye connectors. The terminal assembly has a housing and a screw which, as it is screwed in, passes through a first plate, and when fully screwed in, a second plate. The first plate is mounted so that it cannot rotate or be moved longitudinally, while the second plate is mounted so that it can be moved longitudinally but not rotated. When the terminal is completely open, the second plate abuts a stop on the housing and is held in this position by a resistive force, which can be overcome by the screw, so that the aperture onto which the cable or cable eye is inserted remains unobstructed. The screw can be screwed into a bore in the first plate until it engages the second plate. The bore in the first plate has no internal thread, but has projections which engage the screw threads.

    摘要: A header device comprises; a housing attached to an end face of a printed circuit board having through-holes; and a plurality of pins extending through and sealed to a first section of the housing, the first section facing the end face of the printed circuit board. The plurality of pins are arranged as an upper/lower array in a two-level structure at one surface of the first section of the housing; the pins of at least one of the two levels are bent within the first section and the pins of the respective level extend in the same plane out of the other surface of the first section of the housing; and the pins of the respective level, which extend in the same plane, are substantially vertically bent so as to insert forward portions of the pins into the through-holes of the printed circuit board.
